Sigiri Shen Residence

Spent 4 nights at Shen's and it was better than we ever anticipated. There were 3 of us, and we had a double and a single bed to choose from. The rooms we stayed in were basic but they are clean and cleaned every other day if staying longer. Bathroom was big, clean and with hot water. They have their own little restaurant which offers home made local dishes that were so tasty. We couldn't get enough of their homemade pancakes. Spent many a hours in the evenings just chilling on the porch outside our room, while we planned the following day's itinerary. Those were some of the best moments of our trip and make us think of Shen's even more fondly. Location is somewhat walking distance to Sigiriya fortress as well as other restaurants in Sigiriya. Leaving the best to last, why Shen's is such a great choice is because of the hospitality we received. It's a family run business with the owners just living next door. The entire family including their doggies were a treat to meet. ( Hosts who care for animals always score high in our books). Big big thank you to Hansi, Shen's sister for all her help that included early early morning packed breakfasts. She's such a star who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. Thank you for everything and apologise for the many pots of tea we kept ordering! No doubt one of the best family owned, home-stays, we experienced. Thank you Shen and family.Hope to see you again.

Shen and his family were incredibly kind and helpful. they waited for my late arrival, I was without a bag as the airline didn’t deliver it and Shen’s mom gifted me some clothes so I could change - just kind towards others. breakfast was delicious, room spacious and clean, Shen made sure I had everything I needed. would definitely recommend.

Exceptional service from Sean. We forgot our cell phone and money in front of our room going on a motorcycle trip to Pawalarna. Sean followed is for 25 minutes snce he knew the direction we were going and brought tr stuff saved the day. Fair friendly service we will be back. Location and neighborhood very convenient

Guest House a conduzione familiare. Camera pulita con A/C e pala al soffitto. Sigiriya si trova nel bel mezzo della foresta, e Shen Residence è ubicato subito fuori dal minuscolo centro abitato di Sigiriya. Shen, il proprietario è disponibile e attento ad ogni richiesta. Tramite lui abbiamo organizzato la visita in tuk tuk di Pidurangala Rock, Sigiriya e Polonnaruwa.

El anfitrión Shen todo dulzura y super servicial , pendiente de todas las necesidades que puedas tener le encanta su trabajo y se le nota. Los desayunos buenísimos y variados en una terraza que da al jardín y la habitación espaciosa y limpia, sin duda volvería y lo recomiendo 100% Muchas gracias Shen por tu hospitalidad y tú amabilidad

Super hôtel, très calme, proche du centre ville, notre hôte, Shen, est très accueillant et très gentil ! Ne pas hésiter à prendre plusieurs nuits ! La chambre est grande et propre, le lit est confortable et tout fonctionne très bien ! Là salle de bain est elle aussi très bien ! Je recommande
