This place is heaven. I just loved the setting, looking out over the Tuscan countryside, listening to birds, enjoying the nicest breakfast we had in all of Italy. It was hard to get up from our table on the terrace and go anywhere. If you seek relaxation, this is the place for you. Giacomo and Lorenzo show great attention to detail. They will go out of their way to facilitate your stay and your travels. Suzannah (sp?) who helps serve breakfast was also very pleasant and responsive. Really, the staff and the setting here are above reproach. Here are some more details, to temper your expectations. The single room has a small bed, but it was quite affordable. I appreciated that it was an option and the fact that the management was flexible in allowing me to switch my reservation from a double. Siena is ten minutes walk from the villa, but you must walk further to access the town's main sites. This was not a problem for me, except for when it was pouring rain. There is also a bus option right outside of the property. Even if you have a car, this saves you the hassle of figuring out where/how to park closer to Siena. There is one modest restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the villa, that serves pizza for the most part. Again, if you walk further into town, there are many options and the hotel's staff provided me with very trustworthy recommendations of where to eat. I do not think you will regret coming here. You are at Siena's doorstep but far enough away that you can savor the peace and beauty of the Tuscan countryside. Grazie mille Giacomo and Leonardo!

I recently stayed at this wonderful hotel with a friend of mine. We had studied in Siena twenty years prior as exchange students and we were thrilled to return. Giacomo and his staff were and are incredible people. Looking at pictures on this site do not do this place justice. This place is one of a kind, majestic, and a true sight of what Tuscany has to offer. You can see the tower of the Piazza del Campo from one of the benches on the property. In the mornings a delicious breakfast is served with various options that are buffet style. A full coffee bar is available and the staff greet you with a smile. You have a choice of enjoying your breakfast (colazione) on one of the outdoor tables or inside. We chose to sit outside and take in the gorgeous scenery and weather. If you visit Siena, staying here is a must! Giacomo offers an array of regional wines that he will happily provide recommendations for. In addition, he sells 100% Italian olive oil to take home. The villa has undeniable beauty, but the true magic resides with Giacomo and his team. They make you feel at home, provide recommendations and even advise you on when the next bus will stop by which is just steps from the front door. All the guests looked relaxed, content and we were given true Italian hospitality with all of its offerings. I look forward to returning here next time I visit. 10 out of 10!

Our criteria for selection was Parking & breakfast. The owners & staff are extremely friendly, helpful & accommodating. Our room 27 was large with great views & good size bathroom. Breakfast very nice, on a nice day you can sit outside & gaze over the valley or dine inside. Breakfast covers all the basics with diced fruit, Pear/pineapple/banana & kiwi. Hot food scrambled egg/belly bacon & tiny Frankfurt's or mini what look like sausage rolls. Some times there are boiled eggs. Located a 10 minute walk to the city or a short bus ride. We are travelling Italy/Sicily for 3 months and staying in numerous Hotel/B&B and this is one of the best after our 5 week adventure. Nothing is too much trouble accommodating to our requests without a blink in the eye. Loved this place. English appears to be their second Language. Very unusual hotel with rooms with fantastic views over the countryside.We had room 27 which large and well equipped.No one however seems to mention the access to the property which in my large hire car I could not get through the narrow gap!However we parked up opposite in a Car park,walked up hill to reception and explained my lack of confidence in getting our hire car through the gate,the owner to pity on me and walked back down to the car park and he managed to get the car through the gap!!! Really appreciated his patience,but after driving in Italy on holiday for 26 years in my car and hired cars,I just couldn't negotiate the traffic and the gate!!!The hotel is a 15 minute walk to the centre and we enjoyed our return to this wonderful Cannot fault the hotel,the rooms,the grounds and closeness to the city.

How do you describe a week in heaven? Palazzo di Valli is all you can wish for when visiting Siena. Located at the foot of the old city and surrounded by the stunning Tuscan countryside, this beautiful and historic house offers everything you can wish for when travelling — a perfect location, comfortable lodgings, friendly and helpful hosts, inspiring views and a sense of communion with history. On this second visit of ours, we again wished we were staying much longer. Palazzo di Valli offers comfort, serenity as well as unforgettable memories. Giacomo e Lorenzo, grazie infinite.

We had such a great time and Giacomo is the best. A short walk to the city center and great views from the hotel terrace. Breakfast is amazing and everyone is very helpful. They’ll tell you all the best places to go. The rooms are comfortable and overall a great experience here

We had such a great experience ! The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast was amazing and Giacamo is very nice!! Will be going back. Giacomo does a great job of explaining where to site see and enjoy dinner. It is a very easy walk to the main plazza and great service.

We were a couple who stayed for one night. A lovely and spacious building, the surrounding garden is magnificent and with a lovely view of the old city. The hotel is a fifteen minute walk from the entrance to the city, and you can leave the car for free. A luxurious and elaborate breakfast. The owner of the place, an exemplary and pleasant host. He also helped us in planning the trip in Tuscany... I highly recommend the place
