Stayed for 2 nights and it was stunning. Old English charm and the staff were amazing. The hotel appealed to us as there was peace and quiet in a tranquil setting. We’ve been coming to Sidmouth for years from accommodation in nearby Charmouth but chose to stay in Sidmouth this time around. The pool was closed for refurbishment but that didn’t affect our stay. I love this seaside town for a short relaxing break, the hotel did just that as it was so quiet and peaceful. Easy to walk to town and the beach. Would highly recommend. Felt totally refreshed afterwards.

We had previously stayed here for five days back in 2022 and always said we'd come back. To celebrate my husband's special birthday, I booked a week as a surprise. Sadly, the surprise was broken when a member of staff phoned my husband's mobile a month before our stay. They knew it was a surprise and the file, apparently, had been marked with all correspondence via email to me! We arrived to the same Victoria Suite we had last time. I had asked and paid for balloons and a bottle of champagne on arrival and they were there waiting for us. Sadly again, there was no acknowledgement from the hotel about my husband's birthday which I found very disappointing. The suite was beautiful and a godsend as the weather was very mixed and we had a great place to relax. Food is very good but after six nights of sliced meats in different sauces served with a selection of vegetables or salad, we were craving something different and went à la Carte on our last night. This added another £68 to the bill on top of our DBB tariff, which I think was excessive. The staff were wonderful. It's a good old fashioned hotel. They stated jacket and tie preferred for dinner but people were in there in short sleeved shirts! Overall we had a good holiday but felt let down by a ruined surprise and no acknowledgment of my husband's special birthday.

A really geat hotel experience! Nine of us celebrated together a Golden Wedding and the staff team from management down worked really well together, and were really friendly and helpful, and the setting excellent. The food is really tasty traditional British with a modern twist - highly recommended. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well furnished, the beds comfortable and our family were able to personalise our room in advance for the occasion!

We have stayed many times at the Victoria Hotel and it certainly doesn't disappoint! Great location, attentive staff and lovely resturant. It really does feel like a home from home and is certainly 'our happy place' Would highly recommend.

The Victoria hotel is in an excellent location for enjoying all that Sidmouth has to offer. It is a very well decorated, furnished and maintained hotel. The outdoor heated swimming pool with seating areas and loungers is a real bonus especially on a sunny day.

This is a superb hotel with high standards and faultless service. We love dressing up for dinner and it’s great to see other guests doing the same. The restaurant is gorgeous, traditional, yet not dated. Staff, across all areas of the hotel are incredibly well trained and very accommodating to guests. We are booked in again soon and simply cannot wait for an afternoon in the spa followed by a leisurely time in our room dressing up - cocktail dress (me) and jacket and tie (husband) - and heading down for drinks and dinner and dancing to Coastline. Happy days.

This is a smart hotel, very clean everywhere and well maintained but it is very old fashioned.The large lounge area is just a room of heavy sofas and chairs. The bar is a very bland characterless room with a bar at one end. We looked in and left . For a 4* hotel, it lacks elegance and style. Our partial seaview room 102 was £195 RO and it was small. There was very little space between the end of the bed and the wall. Old fashioned furniture and huge swags above the curtains. The sparkling bathroom looked recently refurbed. The unexpected small balcony was only usable late evening when the loud kitchen extractor was turned off. It starts at 6am.

Gorgeous old English hotel with fantastic staff and perfect location. We were all really impressed and cannot wait to go back. All the facilities were great. Rooms were good quality. Loved the smart attire for dinner too.

Just returned from a wonderful stay in this really lovely Hotel. Overlooking the Sea and the Jurassic coastline , and with many amenities including both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a putting green, gymn and Spa facilities. There is something for everone, including evening entertainment and easy access to the unique town of Sidmouth includiing visits to places of interest .
