Communication with this hotel both prior to reserving and after my reservation was difficult. I sent over 16 messages — but to no avail. I had to wait for weeks for their reply, I had to chase and pester them to get a reply. In most cases, the owners were simply not replying and just ignoring my messages. When they could be bothered to reply to my messages (which were written in English, by the way), they wrote back a brief message in French. Despite their web-page stating that “languages spoken: English”, and despite seeing that their customer is writing in English, they made no attempt to communicate in English. It just shows utter laziness, considering how wide available online translating programs are. In any case, even their French response was woefully inadequate and not helpful. Whatever they wrote in French in the end, showed that the owners do not want to make any effort to engage with a prospective customer. I really do not like their lazy “could not care less” attitude at all. When I managed to make a reservation of their best room via booking-com website and came to stay, I was astounded by the fact that the price they charge is extortionate and does not correlate with the quality of the room. I note that other previous customers have made similar negative comments in that regard: “The rooms are spartan”, “the room could have been better”, “expensive by the standards of the country”, “the rooms are definitely too small”, “room was small: no chairs/seating area. There is a living room downstairs, but it is also used by the family. Price/quality ratio is not good. Too high-priced for missing facilities”. Indeed, I can only agree with and endorse those comments — this hotel is disproportionately expensive. Even taking into account ocean view, their grossly excessive price cannot be justified in any shape or form. Even their best room in which I stayed is small and is certainly more basic than a budget “Travelodge” room (British travellers will have an idea). Breakfast provided was not satisfactory, considering the huge cost charged by the owners. For example, only a tiny amount of juice is given; a request for more juice is refused. The breakfast is quite poor for the money: it is not filling and consists of few items. What also I really disliked — financial manoeuvres by this hotel. Initially, the hotel owner wrote to me that the cost of their best room would be €78. However, as explained above, because the owner ignores any communication with prospective clients, I ended up reserving that room for €86.50 via booking-com website. When I came to pay, I was told an amount in dirham (913 dirham). When I requested to pay in euros, as agreed, the female receptionist walked away somewhere for a long time, and when she eventually returned, she said that, in accordance with her conversion rate, I must pay €94. I really did not like those financial manipulations by the hotel owner — first quoting €78 in a message, then ignoring a customer wh
