Hôtel Bou Fares

This is a lovely historic residence in the heart of Sidi Bou Saïd with exceedingly friendly management. The little old man who inhabits the reception nook attended to our every need and had no end of good advice for sightseeing. There are only about 8 rooms, as far as I could see, around a patio with enough tables and chairs for all guests to comfortably have breakfast. Breakfast was generous. Lots of cats roaming around. Our triple room was just spacious enough and beautifully decorated in colorful traditional motifs. The bathroom was all marble and ceramic tile. Good aircon, comfy beds. All premises clean as a whistle. The only downside was no wifi in the rooms. We had to go to the patio or the reception area, and the patio got really hot later in the day. No big deal, though, as we weren't in Tunisia to stare at our devices day and night. Absolutely recommend!

Firstly to clear off a point, though it is mentioned as a hotel, it is more like a guest house, so don't expect the service of an established star hotel. Its location is right at the center of Sidi Bou Said (though it is very small) and you can walk to any end point at same time. The host is very welcoming and the rooms are very ordinary. Having said so the hotel is the best value for money and you can enjoy the time staying in the beautiful area of white and blue.

Malgré un joli décor l’hôtel est décevant. Les chambres sont très petites, la salle de bain est moche, la douche est ridiculement étroite. Manque de rideau pour la nuit. Par contre le petit déjeuner dans le patio est sympa mais il n’y a plus de figuier seul les chats sont restés. Adresse à éviter . Il y a sûrement d’autres lieux meilleur rapport prix qualité
