Melas Resort Hotel

We truly recommend this hotel, the staff is an incredibly kind, helpful and very welcome. The rooms are very clean, wide variety of food and very tasty. Fatih is very friendly, kind and provide very good entertainment. The hotel is located in very good place and beach is very clean.

Melas Hotel , Side, Turkey I stayed at this hotel for the last week in February 2025. It was my first stay at this hotel, although I have stayed many times in neighbouring hotels. I was greeted at reception and was immediately made to feel welcomed. The checkin process was quick and efficient and I was served with my choice of drink as I waited to be taken to my room. I connected to the hotel WiFi almost immediately using a very simple process. The room was spacious and clean with a bath/shower and a safe. An unusual feature was the provision of beach/pool towels in the room as opposed to the more common practice of a card system. The towels would be replaced, along with the dirty bath and hand towels if you simply left them on the floor. I could request my room to be cleaned and made up each day unless the "do not disturb" sign was hung on the door The food was buffet style and served in the main restaurant at various times throughout the day, encompassing breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks. Hot and cold beverages (including alcohol),were served at table by very well trained and courteous waiters. The quality and variety of the food was excellent.There was always an amazing choice of soups, fish, meat (clearly not pork),pasta,rice, vegetables salad ,cheeses and vegetarian. There were nightly themes at dinner (e.g. Italian, Turkish....).the sweet and pudding stations were truly amazing. There surely must have been enough choice to suit everyone. Service in the lobby bar was excellent. Being out of season , the bar was very seldom overcrowded and table service was usually very quick.Even during busy periods the hotel provided enough staff to keep waiting times quite reasonable. The bar staff's knowledge of cocktails and various drinks was impressive in all the hotel bars. The lobby bar provided 24 hour service. The bar staff were more than happy to make you a cocktail according to your instructions. I commend the hotel management for this and most other services which it provides. Entertainment was fairly low key. The animation team was rarely seen but provided an adequate program considering the time of year and pretty much in line with the normal expected activities such as poolside aerobics, darts, Turkish lessons etc. Nightly entertainment consisted mostly of live music and dancing. I have to say that one or two of the groups were excellent. Of course, it's all a matter of taste. The hotel does point out in its own publicity that people who have mobility issues may find negotiating around the hotel challenging. I will try and describe the layout with this in mind Like most hotels in the area the ground floor ( lobby, reception and restaurant) is accessed from the main boulevard which runs past the hotel driveway. This hotel driveway is quite long and steep in some parts. This presents a challenge if you have mobility issues. However, in my case the hotel provided transport to the main gate and back when I needed it in

We’ve just come back from our first stay at the Melas Resort Hotel and it did not disappoint. There were 5 of us - myself, husband and 12 year old son and my parents in their 70s. We arrived for a 10 night stay in August and reception staff were fantastic. Very helpful and could not do enough for us. My Dad’s case was left in the UK by the airline and the reception team were super helpful in calling the airport and getting updates for us. The rooms were brilliant. A very good size and plenty of room for clothes. We were on the 5th floor, the first one above the pool. The balcony was amazing and looked out over the beach. The buffet restaurant was great - we had lots of really nice food. Having been to Turkey resorts a number of times, you can sometimes get bored with the food. However, it’s not the case at the Melas. The food was varied and very nice. We also went to the Chinese Al a Carte restaurant which was fantastic. 6 courses of amazing food. The pool is good, great location. There are a number of loungers but they can get taken early. The slides at the sister hotel (Melas holiday village) are also great and worth going to. We ate at the beach bar most lunchtimes for a break. It’s waiter service and there is a separate menu which is also really good. Drinks at all the bars are second to none. Loads of options including international brands. The staff in the whole resort are just brilliant. Special mention to Melek Ekici and Fatama Ata who made us feel very special and looked after us at each restaurant. I would absolutely stay again at this hotel. Just one thing to note - there are a lot of stairs due to the location of the hotel. There is always a couple of flights to go up or down even with the lifts, which may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues.

The stay was excellent and the staff was really friendly and polite. The entertainment team and especially Yunus were great! Everything was very clean and modern. The food was also super various and delicious. All in all, would definetely recommend.

My wife and i have stayed here about 5 times. Love the place. But ever since Thomas Cook UK went out of business, i can't seem to find a holiday company that includes this fine hotel. When i do find it , it shows no avaliablity . Any uk based people can help. Tell me who you use thanks. Tui doesn't include Melas. We want to come back. Great staff and hotel. Thanks for any help.

Just back from a week's holiday at Melas resort. Myself, my mum, 16 year old daughter and her friend. We had a lovely time and we were very impressed with the hotel and complex. My 60 year old mum unfortunately broke her ankle a week prior to our holiday and so she was hobbling around. The staff could not of been any more attentive and helpful to her. The rooms are spacious, modern, clean and well equipped. The food was to a very high standard infact one of the best all inclusive hotels we have stayed at. We particularly enjoyed visiting the ala carte beach bar at lunch time which had fantastic views of the beach and a great menu of pizza's, burgers, salads, pasta, chips etc. The entertainment was ok and the girls particularly enjoyed the pool parties over at the Melas holiday village. The on site aqua park was a little tame for teenagers I felt but we still all enjoyed a few short visits. The location of the hotel was excellent and it is possible to walk the whole promenade next to the beach into Side old town which is beautiful and well worth a visit. It is about 30 minutes walk. But you can also take a bus or taxi from the front of the hotel along the main roads for about 6 euro. As other people have mentioned in their reviews, the hotel is mainly German and has very little English visitors. This was not a problem at all, all the staff are very welcoming and actually love having English guests. The other guests were all polite and lovely and infact there are many different nationalities around the pool during the day. It did not alter our experience at all and actually we enjoyed this about the hotel. I'm sure over time more English people will choose to visit the Melas as it is a fabulous hotel and we would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a lovely family holiday Melas.
