Dev Homestay

We booked 3 rooms for stayed here from December 26th to 28th 2022 for a family outing. it is tucked away in one corner of the town. Need car or vehicle all the time to go to the main market. There are no lifts to this 3 storied building. It was cold without heating facility (charged extra ) for that basic thing. We found it very average with a lot of facilities missing. For example , the kitchenette (most basic need in home stay) is in another building all together, you have to come out and walk under open sky for 2 minutes to get to it. Moreover, it is not with easy access. It might be closed also if you want it to access at odd hours. In such cold weather, they don't even have any rug or runner in the rooms. They were filling water simply from the tap and serving till be raised an alarm. The prices were quiet high for the kind of services available. The views of mountains are good from the common balcony . it is tucked away in one corner of the town. Need car or vehicle all the time to go to the main market. This place really defines the term "homestay" .It Is just another home away from home...The caretaker Mr.Akaash took really good care of us..As we returned from a hectic journey from ***ali , were very tired and took rest for the first day...They knew our condition was bad and provided us with good homely food..The staff regularly kept on checking our situation and they were kind and generous and that really helped a lot..He also organised day trips for the next two days to nearby places like Kufri, Naldehra , Mashobra... Special thanks to Mr Bantu Thakur, who took us to these places.He was constantly guiding us throughout and was not too rushfull as we stopped at scenic locations for taking pics ..Located a few kilometres from mall road, the place is quite calm and serene .There is only a few essential shops nearby but its not a worry coz you will get everything delivered by Mr Akaash himself.. A wonderful place to stay when in Shimla..

This is the best stay in Shimla since it's in a really posh and calm area with a beautiful view. The service is very good and the owner is really helpful and friendly. He will help with suggestions and provide multiple options and destinations that we can visit according to our budget. He will also provide you with trustable and genuine cab drivers. In short you can plan a whole trip with help of owner.
