Haven Hall Hotel

A very last minute stay arranged to accommodate two major curved balls that greatly affected my plans for visiting the IoW. It had not on my radar originally as it is ‘well outside what I planned to spend’. For some guests staying here will just be ‘chump change’. Wearing a pair of investment boots and coat over supermarket clothing I walked up the hill, pulling my little suitcase for 15 mins, to find a beautiful, imposing locked gate. Happily, a tradesman arrived and I was cordially greeted by David. Haven Hall is a labour of love and expression of a pair of keen intellects who have strived to create a beautiful environment for all visitors that cross the threshold. Your washstand is bespoke - designed, cut to precise measurements and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The eggs for breakfast are laid that morning by the hens and taken by David to the kitchen. The brass work has ‘ been rescued’ and reworked to gleam under the lamplight. The gardens are carefully designed to provide beautiful vistas without compromising guest privacy. As hosts, David with Arielle are cordial and clearly seek to facilitate a restful, enjoyable stay with excellent advice about IoW sights and places to eat to accommodate all pockets. It is bed and breakfast only but if you stayed for a month you could have a different breakfast each day as the choice is so vast! Whatever, the reason for your visit just be armed with good manners, a respect for property and person for then you will leave feeling totally refreshed and pampered!!!

We went as two couples touring the Isle of Wight and had the pleasure of staying at a gem of an inn: Haven Hall Hotel overlooking the water and the stunning white cliffs of the island. The owner, David, welcomed us and explained the various amenities available to us in detail. The property is absolutely beautiful, the building has been fully renovated and quite luxurious. Rooms were very comfortable and quiet, all areas were sparkling clean. Parking is very convenient and help is available to move luggage upstairs. They offer a light breakfast which is fresh and delectable. We even had access to a washer and dryer, and an extra bathroom. No complaints whatsoever, but we wouldn't have minded a few more drawers in our room (so few hotels these days provide ample storage space for clothes.) We highly recommend Have Hall for discerning travelers.

Amazing, beautiful and luxurious hotel with spectacular views. A warm welcome was received and all rooms were so elegant. Wonderful gardens and exceptional hospitality. In addition our host was a mine of information on local features and places of interest. Will definitely visit again.

Stunning hotel, so peaceful and relaxing, host and staff were excellent, polite, and attentive Breakfast was also amazing, we were lucky enough to have great weather and ate on the patio, what a lovely way to start your day. If I had to find a negative it would only be that bed turn down was too early at 6pm but on saying that it was all done by the time we had come back to the room for the night. Would definitely return to this oasis of peace and quiet, beautiful rooms and stunning house.

Absolutely amazing hotel. Every detail is thought of. We came as family with 2 dogs who also were catered for so well. It is a stunning venue with views of the sea, gorgeous gardens, tennis court, swimming pool and minutes from the beach. David helps advise where to go and even where to park and offers restaurant recommendation. Nothing is too much trouble and the room has a wonderful fully stocked kitchen and living room. everything is clean and well looked after. we will 100% be back! Thank you

Absolutely stunning grounds, gorgeous interior, and charming owners who were kind enough to recommend various points of interest on the isle. The location gives an unparalleled sense of privacy and safety while coming with breathtaking views of The Channel. We certainly look forward to visiting again!

Upon entering the elaborate gates you are greeted by David who introduces you to Haven Hall. It’s fabulous facilities acknowledge the fantastic views via the well established gardens. We had a well kept, very accommodating sea view room with self catering facilities. Arielle has done a fantastic job on the decor and appliances available to you during your stay. David’s knowledge regarding local places to visit and to dine is second to none.

We stayed in Seaview 2 which was just next to the main house and had beautiful sea views and morning sunshine. The room was comfortable with seating area and very well equipped with fridge, toaster etc. The hotel overall is stunning, the gardens are very well kept and you can sit out and enjoy the views if the weather is good. The pool is a lovely sheltered area to relax with towels provided. Breakfast had lots of choice. As vegetarians we were well catered for. We were able to charge our electric car during the stay which was very useful. Location wise you can easily take the footpath down towards the seafront where there is cafes, ice-creams etc. To get to the main town centre it’s about 20 mins walk which is where the main pubs and restaurants are. We found the hotel to be well situated to visit all different parts of the island. Definitely recommend Coast in Cowes for a nice meal. We also had good meals at Pendletons in Shanklin and The Bistro in Ventnor. David is a great host and had lots of tips on where to see and was flexible with check in/ checkout which we appreciated. We hope to return!

A elegant and stunning hotel with breathtaking panoramic sea views set in exceptional gardens and landscape. Hotel staff are intentive, professional and knowledgeable of local area giving great recommendations of places to visit and dine. Our room was to an excellent standard and well thought out with all amenities cater for with extra thoughtful touches added to ensure a very comfortable stay. Breakfast was exceptional with lots of different choices, our waitress provided fantastic service with a smile. David the hotel owner provides a welcome personal touch to ensure your stay is extra special. We had a truly memorable stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends as the best place to stay in Isle of Wight.
