This is a real family guesthouse. They are doing a big construction at the time we stayed there, but that was not a big problem. The room was nice and they have a good english menu with chinees and "western" food

Fantastic homestay on the Leaping Tiger Gorge trail! We started from beautiful Hutiaoxia town and didn't see a single person but a man and his horse until we reached the guest house. Nestled in stunning valley beneath the snow mountain it was an idyllic place to stay. The homestay itself is an old building (currently undergoing additions) in a quiet and peaceful villiage. The atmosphere seemed far nicer than other accommodation we passed later on the trail. The menu was comprehensive and the food was fresh with delicate flavour. The bed was large and comfortable and the linens and bathroom were spotless. We were treated very kindly and we felt very good staying here. Thank you Naxi guest house! :)

Location was great as a starting point of the Tiger Leaping Gorge trail. The communication and service were excellent. They helped us order a transfer from the airport, everything went smoothly and they even kept the kitchen open for us so that we could order dinner. The rooms were adequate and the food was satisfying. They are in the midst of adding about 20 more rooms to their property, so expect a little bit of noise if you want to stay and relax during the day. They siad that it should be completed by September 2024.

This small family run hotel was our favourite on the tiger leaping gorge hike. They took the most care of us compared to the other bigger establishments we stayed at. The room was large and spacious and had an electric blanket and shower products. It had a view of the mountains. The staff are incredibly nice and provide you with free tea and even gave us some walnuts from the tree! We are vegetarian and there were many meat free options in the English translated menu. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.

Didn't end up staying as we wanted to hike farther but the host was very nice and the meal was great 👍. Recomend to hike in to here rather than get a ride. Nice trail!

The owners are extremely friendly and welcoming. The location is a perfect stop along the trail. We had great meals during our stay!

Naxi Yage is very well located to start your trail at tiger leaping gorges. The family is very friendly and the wife cooks very well, which is very important especially in the morning before your trail. You can also buy supplies there, such as water, chocolate bars etc at a normal price

Perfect place to start the Tiger Leaping Gorge Hike! The hostess was so friendly and helpful, she speaks perfect English. The accommodation is basic and very cold in winter but there was an electric blanket so we slept well. Food was reasonably priced and good. Would definitely recommend!

Ideal location for hikers taking on the Tiger Leaping Gorge. The location of the hotel is different from the map location on Trip.com. It's found about 1.5 hrs into the start of the hike, but you can drive direct to the guesthouse too

This is a real authentic experience! I was happy to split the climb of the TLG in half and sleep at Naxi Family GH for one night. This way, I enjoyed starting the hike earlier and being alone on the trail. This GH is simple and clean, and the sunset on the monumental mountain is stunning! Don’t expect luxury, but a real and comfortable mountain stay. The food was quite salty (to retain water?) but when asked for my second meal there , they adapted. And I loved waking up to the rooster and birds singing, and the pigs groaning 😄

Very economical. Basic but fine. Owners sound local transportation to visit sites. etc. Food was excellent (especially for the price).

Lots of travellers only stay here for lunch, but id recommend staying over and enjoying a great breakfast the next morning before heading off on your trek. I advise to get someone to drop you off here as the walk there is a bit steep 😅 but great friendly staff, just a little busy. Definitely my fav stay doing the gorge trail. Very comfortable beds and clean space!
