Nice big rooms, location near the airport but if I had to stay close to it, it would definitely be the hotel I would pick

Spacious. Great quiet location. Close to Hong Qiao high speed train and airport. Staff courteous. Breakfast is well prepared. Very good value for money. Near by excellent jogging path along the canal.

Shout out to the lady in Black for the amazing set up in the room, she made my stay amazing! Beautiful hotel with wide breakfast selection, close to the Hongqiao airport meaning super convenient. Strongly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and felt right at home. However, what truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service provided by Christina at Front Desk. Traveling with two young children can be a handful, but Christina went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and our stay was comfortable. She was attentive and accommodating, offering helpful suggestions for family-friendly activities in the area and making sure our room was well-equipped for our little ones. Her genuine care and attention to detail made us feel like VIP guests throughout our entire visit. The hotel itself was immaculate, with beautiful, modern décor and top-notch amenities. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, providing a relaxing haven for our family after a long day of exploring. The on-site restaurant offered a delightful array of international cuisine, with options to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters (which was a relief for any parent!). I wholeheartedly recommend the Sofitel Hongqiao to anyone seeking a luxurious and family-friendly stay in the area. Hotel has seen better days. First room was in an unacceptable standard with dirty windows, ripped window screens, malfunctioning windows, broken wall panels and, worst of all, a foul smell that reminded me of those 1970’s roadside motels. After complaint, they changed my room and it was better, although the room still requires major renovation to come up to standards of a 5-star hotel. As an example, had to reprogram the keys 3 times to operate the elevator, drapery was in sorry shape, toilet basket rusty and looked unsanitary, and the decor shows its age. Truly disappointed. If Sofitel corporate was reading this review, they would surely know what I’m talking about, as they have neglected to keep this property maintained properly.

Hotel staff Amanda was very kind, helped me with my late checkout due to airport transfer delay. Recommended.

The hotel is nice, the location is fine too, just the smoking smell was too much in the room, the hotel staff tried to clean it as much they can, but the smell was too strong for them to remove it totally! However, I enjoyed my stay there!

Amanda and Chris at the reception were warm and dedicated to accommodating our needs given that we had an infant amongst us, they were generous to offer us the best possible care. Every aspect of this hotel is befitting of the benchmark expected of Sofitel, all staff members are kind and respectful, and it is worthy to mention the variety of options seen at breakfast, in general it was a wonderful experience.

Great stay at sofitel Shanghai Hongqiao, flew in from Korea late , had a late check -in and had a great check-in experience at front desk , met Quan and Nick hotel staffs great attitude , helped me witch check -in , got me a discount spa coupons and arranged for me a late check -out . Special thanks to them both. Had breakfast at the hotel , met another staff didn't catch his name . Asked me what coffee i wanted and brought it to my table. The breakfast was delicious , Eastern and western breakfast , the room is big and beautiful , the outside is breathtaking and went to the cafe /bar to chill took some great photos. Over all great experience, will come back here again over the holidays😍😎🤗.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Sofitel Hotel, and I must say that it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot into the grand lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine desire to make my stay exceptional. The buffet for 228 RMB was one of the best I had in many years, the gym facility is very clean and spacious, to date equipments. Overall, I had an amazing time at the and I will definitely book sometimes soon and recommend to those looking for a cozy place to spend the weekend or just that perfect hotel for anytime.

We were very satisfied staying at Hongqiao Sofitel Shanghai. They provided a great service, the room was clean and tidy, everything was very convenient, and Amanda has helped us a lot during our stay.We had an issue with the robot delivery, and she answered immediately to come to help out. Every time we have encountered an issue she would help us solve it, she was patient , and hard-working, optimistic and devoted. We had a pleasant stay . Although, the room was a little bit hot, even with the A/C on.
