A Peace in Paradise

Superb location on the edge of the tropical forest and less than 10 minutes' walk from a magnificent beach, which was very little used during our week's stay. We stayed in the large chalet with a beautiful fully-equipped terrace, which surrounds the accommodation and overlooks the incredible "garden park" with its tropical plants and trees, as well as most of the birds endemic to the Seychelles. You can see them live their lives, nest, feed... and hear them sing all day long. I took some incredible photos of these birds. It's impossible to see them in the paying nature parks (Vallée de Mai, Fond Ferdinand...). Bernadette and her son are both discreet and attentive to their guests' needs. The accommodation is very spacious and comfortable, with no neighbours, apart from the pretty plants. As for the kitchen, all that's missing is a microwave for reheating pre-prepared dishes or takeaways, and possibly a rice cooker for practicality.  Otherwise there's an oven, which we used to cook a delicious red fish known locally as 'bourgeois'. So everything was just about perfect. I really recommend this place for lovers of wild nature and bird/vegetation photography. Pleasure guaranteed

We badly needed a break from busy life and chose Peace in Paradise. It met our expectation. Very quiet, beautiful atmosphere, complete privacy in the lovely GARDEN CABANA.(recommended for couple get away). We love you Peace in Paradise, we will be back.

Unprofessional Owner and Unjustified Charges Credit Card TRAP! This stay was a complete nightmare. The owner of the property was incredibly rude and unprofessional throughout our interaction. During check-out, the owner personally inspected the room. We handed over the keys confident that everything was in order. Imagine our shock when we discovered a €200 charge on our credit card just one hour later! We called the owner immediately to clarify the charge. Instead of a calm explanation, she became defensive and started shouting. We simply wanted a valid reason for the charge, especially since she had just inspected the room herself. Unfortunately, she offered no explanation and abruptly ended the call. There is absolutely no justification for this surprise charge. We did not damage anything in the room, and the owner confirmed this during the check-out inspection. We strongly advise anyone considering this property to look elsewhere. The owner's unprofessional behavior and the unexplained charges are unacceptable.

Erada ist a lovely person, with an old soul. She has put her heart into these houses and garden, that is why it looks and feels so incredible! When I finally packed out my stuff upon arrival in the villa where I stayed the first night, I felt likt I had finally arrived at the Seyshells. Erada made me feel so welcome. In the evening I layed in the hammock sofa at the terrasse, listening to the birds. For me, the birds are the sound of the Seyshells! When I opened the door every morning there was a strong bird sound - I loved it! Erada is very forward thinking, she is thinking green, recycles, supports sustainability, is healthy life style minded, which are the core features and values of this location. I would definitely stay there again!! Local Tipps: Easy Dinner at Lunch Box (they serve different dishes and fishes for 5€), groceries at Mini Mart (a friendly Indian man with fair prices), the beach anse a La Mousche is also nice, during the day it apparently is a lagoon, but I only visted it in the evenings after dinner. It is not that clean, but the locals also come there in the evening and enjoy the hot, hot, hot water. And one can enjoy the sunset!

A quiet oasis with a beautiful garden. There are some small but comfortable cottages placed in the lush garden with their own veranda. A 10 min walk to the only restaurant in neighbourhood and a small shop where you can by some basic groceries. The beach Anse a La Mouche isn’t very suitable for swimming mainly because of strong wind but also seaweed. You can take the local bus to the east side of Mahe to Anse Royal where swimming is nice. The only thing that was disappointing in this place was the lack of Wifi, so if your heading here be sure to have a local sim card in your phone.

Superbe emplacement à la lisière de la forêt tropical et à moins de 10 mn à pied d'une magnifique plage, très peu fréquentée lors de notre semaine de séjour. Nous étions dans le grand chalet avec une très belle terrasse équipée, tout autour du logement et qui donne sur l'incroyable ''jardin parc'' avec ses plantes et arbres tropicaux, ainsi que la majorité des oiseaux endémiques aux Seychelles. On les voit vivre leur vie, faire leur nide, se nourrir... et on les entend chanter à longueur de journées. J'ai pris d'incroyables photos de ces oiseaux. Impossible de les voir dans les parcs naturels payants (vallée de mai, fond Ferdinand...). Bernadette et son fils sont à la fois discrets et attentifs aux besoins de leurs clients. Le logement est très spacieux et confortable, sans vis à vis, hormis les jolies plantes. Côté cuisine, il manque juste un micro-onde pour réchauffer les plats préparés à l'avance ou les take-away, et éventuellement un auto-cuiseur à riz pour le côté pratique. Sinon il y a un four que nous avons utilisez pour cuisiner un délicieux poisson rouge appelé localement ''bourgeois''. Donc tout était presque parfait. Je recommande vraiment cet endroit pour les amoureux de la nature sauvage et de la photographie des oiseaux/végétation. Plaisir garanti
