When you are looking for places to stay on air BnB, it’s a bit of a lottery. When things are of a similar price then it’s probably going to be ok, average, nothing to get excited about. This place is absolutely amazing, you c a feel like a king, of the broken historically ruined castle. Set in amazing vineyards the spread into the distance on all sides of the hill top. It has limited accomodation. Which is great! Fewer people in this idyllic spot. The rooms are beautiful, modern high ceilings, (I’m tall) for an ancient villa. The wine tasting was very interesting too, 4 different Valpolicella’s with carefully matched snack. Then the night we were there, there was a great music act. The staff were English and German speaking and were all great. I’d say it’s a romantic couples thing, not really meant for kids. Simply Beautiful.

This is a hidden oasis . Beyond beautiful and picturesque . Quiet place and stunning . Restaurant and ambiance one of kind very friendly and delicious .

It was a really surprising stay. The room was spacious and pleasant, the bed extraordinarily comfortable. Pleasant staff and always ready to help us in any problem. Breakfast varied and very good. As for the location of the castle, suffice it to say that there are some extremely famous vineyards nearby, and the wine made at the Castrum is special. I will definitely come back soon!

A fantastic find overlooking vineyards and villas with Verona in the distance. A great “home base” for your excursions throughout the zone. Premises provide a bistro, a fantastic dinner menu, and outstanding wines. Loved the Capstrum Amarone!

The hotel is set in a lovely place and seemed like a promising spot for a night’s stay before our onward journey to Lake Garda. Arriving at reception, we were showed to our room which was pleasant. However, the receptionist then told us that the room could be noisy due to the attached hotel restaurant and suggested moving rooms. This turned out not to be possible due to other rooms being full. She informed us that noise should be over by midnight. Not thrilled at this, we went to eat. Food and wine were good so spirits were up. Getting back to our room around 11, we settled in for the night. It was very noisy at that stage with the music from below loud. Conversation was easily audible with any sense of soundproofing non existent. the bass was the worst though and despite earplugs, it cut through everything. Gone 2am the music was still in full swing making sleep completely impossible - unacceptable. Another downside was the showers. The temperature would not go above lukewarm. A promising place let down by the basics - impossible to get a good night sleep and poor heating for showers. Disapppointing.

One of my favourite hotel from Italy. The staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They always greeting and smiling to us. The breakfasts were amazing. The location of the hotel is great( you ca see the Valpolicella).The room was very spacious and well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who want to go to Verona or even to see, learn and taste the Valpolicella beginings.
