I believe this is one of the nicest campsites. It has a private bathroom (running hot water), a designated kitchen area, and plenty of shade. We stayed there after our visit to Sossusvlei and enjoyed the sunset over the mountains. Note that the campsite is located outside the inner gate, so you can access attractions in Sossusvlei an hour later than if you were staying at an inside campsite.

Sossus Oasis was the 3rd stop on our 21 day Namibian trip. What an amazing camp. Private ablutions which were well maintained. Nice size pool. Service Station and shop close by. Located 5 minutes from the entrance to Sossusvlei. Staff at the service station were friendly and helpful. The distance between the campsites was good and offered a fair amount of privacy. Would definitely recommend this camp site.

The camp offers two levels of camping, rustic and with amenities. Our area offered an outdoor covered kitchen for cooking and meals with a grill. The area contained a clean toilet and hot showers. The camp store offers a variety of camp staples, snacks, wine, beer, and something you might have forgotten. An outdoor covered area allows customers to enjoy a meal, beverage, or snack. We camped and self catered. Firstly the camping areas need some screening. The sand blows everywhere and the wind can get a bit strong. The wifi is only available at the "reception" area and that closes early evening so be prepared to talk to each other. There is a pool but basically just a plunge pool, with no shelter from the wind you are covered in sand by the time you get back to your tent. This was the only place we had to peg our tent down.

Situated across from the Entrance Gate to Sossusvlei and Sesriem the campsite have 12 individually shaded sites, each featuring its own private toilet and shower facilities, kitchen wash-up basin, braai, and electricity point. The vistas are simply breathtaking. The swimming pool was a huge bonus especially in a February heatwave. Although situated adjacent to the road, any noise and dust is negligible. However, the wind can pose a slight challenge; we found ourselves preparing our meals in the bathroom to shield from its gusts. Convenient amenities within walking distance include a well-stocked shop as well as fuel, diesel, and a tire workshop at the Sossus Oasis Service Station. Beware of bat-eared foxes, which may take your biscuits, vegetables, or even a bottle of gin even if it's pack away in a crate on the ground;-) it's advisable to store all food (and shoes) at a higher level.
