Superb, so quiet, efficiently run; all staff so helpful, comfy bed, we were S/C, bit basic S/c but adequate Gardens fantastic…3 pools… 2familynpool I think were were at the aged end‼️‼️😂😂😂 ‘our’ pool was only used by (4 today) usually just 6 people… I would certainly come here again… and again… and again we’ve been coming to the Gambia every year since 1990‼️‼️this is the best apartment yet. Kololi beach We stayed at Kololi beach for 11 days and nights over Christmas. We came with our two young daughters. We had been to the Gambia 15 years ago before we were married. We were a little apprehensive before going and not quite sure what to expect. The resort accommodation- We stayed in a bungalow (V33) which was great, spacious and clean. This is no 5 star hotel but what it is a very comfortable resort in a great location in fantastic garden setting. There are a lot of birds and the days are filled with bird song. The beach is nice and the pools were thoroughly enjoyed by our daughters, so 5 star for us. Communication- I had a number of questions before we arrived which I raised by email and Grace was exceptionally helpful in answering them and also organising a transfer. Salt - this restaurant has a lovely setting overlooking the beach, great place to sit and watch the ocean. The cocktails were excellent the food was ok. Unfortunately the service was slow, but I think it was more the time of year with the staff and kitchen being exceptionally busy. You just had to be patient. Staff - from the waiters to front desk, to the pool and beach attendants and those undertaking maintenance everyone was exceptionally polite and friendly and all were very appreciative when tipped. Overall- we would highly recommend this very relaxed resort and were looking to go back.

We were fortunate enough to be given an upgrade from standard to superior - how we wish now that we were not. Check-in was an interesting experience and despite on check-out almost being hustled out of our room by the cleaner there was no option around getting into the room early if it was ready. Not a big deal as could go use the pool and towels are provided. The room was big, clean with the bathroom a little dated with a broken handle on the door and a shower head that was a little tempremental. The biggest issue was the noise from the bar accross the road which went on to around 4am on the weekend and about 2am during the week. Not the hotels fault - and becuase we were only there a short time we didn't ask to move rooms as firstly the reason for the upgrade was the shortage of standard room and quite honestly I could not be bothered to pack and unpack again (the weekend extra time being the last 2 nights). If you are given a room in the Stones building my advice would be to ask to move to the other accomodation. While the Stones building does have it's own pool it is quite some way from the beach (and the main accomodation) and main pool area - add that to the noise from the bar (and there is a new bar being built directly oppoiste) it puts a dampner on your holiday - unless you are there to drink into the early hours then it will be perfect as you do not have far to stager back. Drinks were somehow more expensive in the top bar than the beach bar (for beer). We did not try the food but recommend the milkshakes. Overall location is good as away from the main strip and a very short walk to the monkey park. I would only stay here again if it is was in the accomodation blocks near the main pool/beach.

The staff were great very helpful and nothing was too much bother. There was a mix up about the room when we got there, we booked a twin bed but got a double bed. It was sorted by the next day which was really nice. The Wi-Fi definitely needs to be improved. When we first got there it was ok but when we moved to the top floor we couldn’t get any wi-fi in the room. The rooms are basic, the beds are HARD and no tv but to be honest I didn’t miss the tv. Would I stay again?? Yes-because the price was good/location. No-it would be nice to try others hotels on Paradise Beach and the bed was so hard.

Have been many times to Kololi beach club. This year we took nephew's 16 & 13. Staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in appartments near the beach which are clean a little basic but have everything you need. New power showers and plenty of hot water. Poolside restaurant very good
