Osinon Camps & Lodges

I recently stayed at Osinon, which boasts an excellent location but unfortunately falls short in several key areas, including the quality of the tents and food. The location is undoubtedly the highlight of this campsite. Nestled in the heart of breathtaking natural scenery, it offers stunning views and easy access to Serengeti National Park and other outdoor activities. However, the positives end there. The tent provided was in poor condition. Despite the website's assurance of 24-hour hot water, there was none available in our tent. This was particularly disappointing after a long day of game driving, as a hot shower would have been much appreciated. Finally, the staff discovered our tent pumps were stuck, which was apparently the reason for the lack of hot water so they gave us 2 buckets of hot water. The food was another major letdown. Upon arrival, we were asked about any allergies or dietary restrictions, which we clearly communicated. Unfortunately, this information was completely ignored. Our dinner contained ingredients that we specifically stated we could not eat. This lack of attention to our dietary needs not only showed poor service but also posed a serious health risk. While the staff were friendly and the location was exceptional, these positive aspects were overshadowed by the fundamental issues with the tent and food. Basic amenities like hot water and adherence to dietary restrictions are essential for a comfortable and safe stay.

We had a great time at the Osinon Camps and Lodges. Everything was perfect, the welcome, the room, the meals, the staff. This hotel is a marvel. a very beautiful and calming place to stay during your safari in the Serengeti. The room was bigger than expected and very clean. very good bedding. Thank you to the entire kitchen team who prepared excellent meals for us. I would 100% stay there again without hesitation.

Very nice inn. The rooms were clean and the hospitality of the staff was excellent. The food in the restaurant was delicious and I was full. I would stay at this inn again next time.

Comfortable tented camp with all of the extras. Comfortable beds with fine linens, mosquito netting around the beds, western-style bathrooms with hot and cold running water and flushable toilets, writing desk, extra seating inside and outside of the tent. The main camp has a bar/lounge area and a dining area, both beautifully decorated. There are sundowner campfires every evening. Staff will escort you to and from your tent after dark. The food was delicious. The staff were helpful and friendly. We could hear the lions huffing nearby at night. So special!

We‘ve been to Serengeti for 3 days and stayed there 2 nights. It was a great stay and much more than we expected. They have a very talented cook and everyone from the crew is very friendly. The room had a lot of space and we always could take a hot shower what was a big surprise for us. The service level was always over the top. Thanks for the great stay :)

My mother and I stayed at Osinon camp in November of 2023 during a 10 day safari. It was absolutely magical and one of the highlights of our trip. We approached the camp as the sun was setting and a family of giraffe gracefully parted so we could pass by. As it happened, we were the only guests the two nights we stayed in camp. The staff was so warm and welcoming and the room was beautiful. The canvas "tents" were luxurious and made us feel like we were living in the movie "Out of Africa". We were delighted to experience HOT showers! In some hotels we hadn't had any hot water. The food served in the large tented dinning area was delicious. The first night we fell asleep to the awesome sound of lions talking to each other off in the distance. The second night, my mother must have mentioned we were celebrating my 50th birthday. After the friendly staff cleared the table of another delicious meal, we were suddenly treated to a joyful procession who came in with drums, dancing and singing an African version of the "Happy Birthday" song. They'd made a lovely cake for me! After blowing out the candles, I shared the tasty cake with everyone. It was by far the most memorable birthday I've ever had or probably ever will have. I cannot speak highly enough of the gracious staff who made our two days at Osinon an unforgettable experience. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

This is th lodge with the most unfriendly staff we encountered in 2 weeks safari. They were clearly disturbed by our early arrival around 4pm . Most staff were really looking anoyed and did not say anything. We could not close the ziippers of our tent so insects could easily get in. They did not feel it was a problem. I really had to insist to have it fixed, which the did for 50 pct. The tent was also not very clean. The good news is that the food was fine.

Great stay close in Serengeti park. Tents were well equipped with shower, toilet and double bed with mosquito net. Staff was very friendly and guides you to your tent when its dark outside. The main tent had restaurant with good food and a bar where you can order drinks and relax a bit. We saw 3 giraffe very close by tents and several zebra’s. At night you can hear several wild animals (we heard Lion & Hyena). Would definetely recommend to stay here.

Realy Nice Personal, Absolute Lovly Tents, with warm Water, Also Elektricity and Light in every Tent. Food was perfekt and also the Service was great. The Tent has also a Toilette and Shower. On the evening and morning you can see Zebras and Pumbas and a lots of other Animals
