We are a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 older teens. We stayed for 2 nights at the emd of June. My daughter and I shared a double and my husband and son shared a twin. Both were good sizes and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and well proportioned. The double was a king sized bed and the twin had 2 doubles. The bathrooms were spacious and had a generous shower stall, hand basin amd toilet. Water pressure wasn’t great but wasn’t a problem considering you’re in the middle of the Serengeti! The staff at the camp are very friendly and helpful. Honestly, they work really hard to make your stay memorable and enjoyable, nothing is too much trouble. They deserve a great tip at the wnd of your stay. We chose to do early morning safaris as that’s when the animals are active and you’re more likely to see them moving around, not just lazing around in the heat. We asked for our breakfast to be ready for 6, 30 minutes before the official breakfast and it was no problem. The chef and the team were more than happy to accommodate us. There are Masai warriors working at the camp, mostly making sure the guests are safe after dark, but also carrying luggage and welcoming guests with their dances. I can’t express enough how kind and lovely everyone is. The food was great. It’s amazing how many dishes you can make from bananas, sweet and savoury. Breakfas and dinner are served buffet style with a variety of options to suit any needs. They were very careful to check if anyone had allergies in our family that they needed to be aware of (we don’t), so I’m sure they’d be happy to support any specific diets/needs. Lunch is either a packed lunch of sandwich, side dish such as couscous or chips, drink and snack/dessert or a hot meal if you do an early game drive. The camp is not enclosed and is open to the animals - hence the need for the Masai! On our first night, a pack of hyena decided to party and little sleep was had as they fought, chased zebra, barked, clip clopped across our veranda! It was wild - a night we will remember forever! We were safe in the semi-permanent sturdy tents, but it was still exhilarating. We got more sleep the next night when it was just a herd of zebra galloping through the camp.
