IBB Hotel Palazzo Bettina Malta

Lovely bespoke hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Nothing requested was too much the staff were available 24/7 to meet our needs. Great food and location just 5-10mins away from Valetta by boat. Highly recommended would stay here again.

We came here to celebrate my sisters 40th . From start to finish the team could not have been more helpful . They gave us a birthday package for the room set up with macarons , fresh fruit and bottles of rose , flowers and more . Even before arrival they were helpful with arrangements for our puppy (which we did not travel with in the end) , car parking tips , etc . The hotel itself if modern but in a historic building and very pretty backstreet . Birgu itself is a wonderful area (not as crowded as Valletta) overlooking a marina and the rooftop pool and jacuzzi gives excellent views of this . Valetta is reachable from the hotel in less than 10minutes on a glamorous gondola ride. I would love to come back here! A special shout out to Roma who took care of our room , Alberto who helped us with arrangements prior to arrival and to Dora and Angelica from the front desk . And to top it all off , breakfast was amazing . Honestly a wonderful experience .

I had the opportunity to stay at the AMAZING IBB Hotel Palazzo Bettina recently for just over a week with family and the well thought out accommodation choice did not disappoint. The building is steeped in history, charm, comfort and character. The location of the hotel in Birgu (Vittoriosa) was ideal. It was close enough to walk to historic landmarks and just a short ferry ride to Valletta. Furthermore, it has a rooftop pool and terrace with incredible views. We opted for a package that included freshly made breakfast. We appreciated the convenience and the made-to-order breakfast was always a nice start to the day. There is a gelato shop, Sottozero, located just outside of the hotel; it was visited daily. We appreciated it’s locale, its convenience and the yummy gelato that we consumed regularly throughout our stay. What really makes IBB Hotel Palazzo Bettina so special are the people that work there. The service was impeccable and exceeded all expectations. I was fortunate enough to have interactions with Dora, Roman, Alberto, Olivier (Ollie) and Romalyene. Each and every one of them, in their own way, touched our lives in a positive manner. They care about their guests and it shows in everything they do!!!! Dora is an absolute gem and deserves additional praise. She left a mark on my heart that will remain with me always. I feel incredibly blessed that we have crossed paths with such lovely people. They made the stay truly memorable and I would most definitely book with this incredible establishment in the future should I be fortunate enough to return to the beautiful island of Malta. Thank you ALL for making our stay top notch. We are forever grateful! ❤️

The hotel is located in a beautiful location with stunning views. We arrived really early and were greeted by the manager Adrian who was so helpful and hospitable, treating us to a nice glass of Prosecco. Rooms are normally ready at 3pm. We were called at 11.30am to say our room was ready. The room was absolutely beautiful with vaulted ceilings, spacious bathroom with an excellent shower and loads of toiletries. The tea and coffee making facilities were superb, also a well stocked mini bar along with snacks. The room featured a lovely balcony with great views. The bed was extremely comfortable. The crowning glory of this delightful hotel has to be the roof terrace. It features a great pool, hot tub and shower. Sun beds, deckchairs and seating area with soft towels provided. Food and drinks can easily be ordered using the phone on the terrace. The views from the roof were spectacular and we spent the entire afternoon up there, it was so relaxing. There’s loads of nice bars and restaurants all within a short walk. As we only stayed one night we didn’t sample the food here but from what I saw it looked delicious. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. When we come back to Malta we would love to spend longer here.

My friend and I spent four nights at this hotel. The staff were amazing! Friendly, helpful and nothing was too much. The room was lovely and clean. The rooftop pool and hot tub was the perfect way to relax after exploring most of the day. Breakfast was fab. Location was great, easy to get to get to Valletta by a small boat and from there you could get a ferry to Gozo. A wonderful experience, I would highly recommend. I will definitely be returning.

Very well situated in Birghu, just a 5 min water taxi into Valletta. Ideally placed on the harbour to be within walking distance of great restaurants and bars,but with a gentler pace than the capital.Close to several great museums and some lovely streets and multiple photo opportunities! Hotel has 13 rooms, with helpful, knowledgeable and attentive staff( they organised us a taxi transfer from the airport as it was a late flight) , right through from reception to breakfast and cleaners alike. Previously a merchant’s house, tastefully decorated but still retaining all the architectural charm. Room was large with air con, and breakfast was a feast( not a buffet but rather served individually from a menu and as much as you could eat) . Rooftop pool and jacuzzi with excellent views of the harbour was perfect for spending a couple of hours relaxing. Hotel doesn’t have a bar, but drinks could be ordered from reception and there was a mini bar in the room. Excellent ice cream shop round the corner well worth a visit! Would definitely return!
