My review of the Oaktree Emerald Hotel in Semarang is deeply disappointing. The condition of the room was extremely poor. The staff's attitude lacked the finesse necessary to maintain hospitality. It was truly shocking that they opened our room twice without permission, even at 11 p.m. The Duty Manager, Jehovan, seemed to feel no remorse for his foolish actions.
The room was dirty and the hygiene was very poor. All the staff lacked professionalism, and above all, there were issues with their integrity. There were far too many instances of lying and deceiving consumers.
This situation is completely inconsistent with the basic service a hotel should provide. A hotel should offer a safe and comfortable space for its guests, but this hotel has failed to meet those expectations. If these issues are not resolved, consumers using this hotel will continue to be disappointed.
After directly experiencing the serious issues with the quality of service at this hotel, I do not recommend it. The management of this hotel needs to reassess their approach to customer service and seriously consider the behavior of their staff.
