Khem Villas

We stayed for 3 nights at Khem Villas in Ranthambore, splitting our time between the Cottage Villa and the Private Villa. We also had the chance to visit their Luxury Tent villas, which looked amazing! The comfort of the beds was excellent, and waking up in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees and the sound of wildlife, was a highlight. You even could spot crocodiles and various wildlife right from our location—truly incredible! The staff was very attentive, cleaning our room three times a day and making us feel special throughout our stay. Each morning, for those heading out on tiger safaris, they provided a thoughtful pre-breakfast pack that included a banana, a sandwich, and water. They also supplied blankets for the chilly safari mornings and raincoats in case the weather didn’t cooperate. All meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were vegetarian but absolutely delicious. I’m a vegan, and my husband eats everything, yet he loved every dish. The menu had a few selected options each day, and we appreciated the focus on quality over quantity. In the evenings, we enjoyed the bonfire while having drinks from the outdoor bar, taking in the beautiful views and the sounds of nature, all complemented by exceptional service.

Well designed eco conscious property in the heart of Ranthambore. Great service and wonderful tent accommodations. Best of all a superb spa experience can be had here. Ask for Bhanu for the best massage you’ve ever had…and at a terrific price to boot! All around not to be missed!

Lovely stay; welcoming staff, comfortable cabins and tents, beautiful property. The massages at the spa are excellent. Make sure to take time to enjoy the grounds and views. We saw deer and heard cats from our terrace as well as did a night drive to see a leopard kill.

Khem villas has great food and setting however it’s not a luxury camp as it describes itself. We stayed with family and friends and one of our rooms- a cottage - is infested with termites. First day we saw brown mound on wall by bed , we told staff and they removed it and below is a crack in two hours the brown mound grew by now it was nighttime and this time we saw termites sticking out , took video and told staff, general manager unavailable , they had no empty rooms to move us and staff had no idea what to do. We had to tell them to clean, fill crack with temporary material and tape wall since this was on wall by bed. We had no choice but to sleep there and wasn’t a good night sleep at all. Next day we told general manager again he wasn’t available at 8 am during breakfast he didn’t show up until 9:30 , when we had to check out and his response was this is nature and we are living with nature. For a 50,000inr room and describing as a luxury jungle camp I expected more understanding and compensation. If you stay here it’s not a luxury in fact it’s infested with termites especially cottage 1. And they simply cover it up and continue to rent it. It’s inhabitable and health hazard. We enjoyed a brilliant stay at Khem Villas. The staff were tremendously helpful and knowledgeable, particularly the general manager Manvendra. The wildlife was spectacular and proximity to the tiger safari was great. Our cottage was extremely clean and comfortable with immediate access to a lake and wildlife walks. There was no trade-off between comfort, convenience and being ecologically sound. The vegetarian food was excellent even for the carnivores in our family. We will definitely re-visit.
