Upon entering the lobby, I had an uneasy feeling. The front desk had cracked and missing tiles, the curved sofa in the lobby was dirty as were the pillows. The front desk staff were pleasant. We were given a room on the third floor. As we walked to the room, a musty smell permeated the air, the carpet was filthy with obvious stains throughout, and the floor was noticeably uneven. When we entered our "suite", my heart sank further. We were greeted with more carpet stains, dirty walls and wallpaper that was peeling. The A/C was super loud, and the refrigerator was defrosting (?). There was a damp feeling in the room, accompanied by a musty smell. Thank goodness I travel with my own pillowcases and bedroom slippers. I ended up throwing my slippers away because the thought of bringing them home after using them on the filthy floor just didn't sit well with me. As for the indoor pool, it was nasty as well. Just fill it with some marine life and call it a day. We didn't partake in the complimentary breakfast. The coffee in the lobby was awful so I switched to hot tea except, the hot water was anything but. There was a cold-water dispenser in the lobby that looked to have a container of lemons inside to flavor the water. I wondered how often those lemons were being replaced. Oh well. Take note, before arrival, we actually received a message that stated, " Please pardon our dust". It should've stated, "please pardon our DUMP. We saw no signs whatsoever of any renovations taking place. We are Lifetime Titanium Elite Members and foolishly went along with our friend's suggestion of staying at this "heartbreak hotel". Never again! Btw, the pictures shown on the website are not current at all. Shame on Marriott/owners.
