Old world historical charm including lovely host (who doubled as a great cook) A little way out of the historic hub (but a lovely walk through multi squares brimming with history). Highly recommended place to stay and explore the beautiful Savannah.

A wonderful historic Inn centrally located and within walking distance to everything Savannah has to offer. It is old and unique but well maintained. Chemise, our Host, was attentive and helpful. She's also an amazing cook and a wonderful storyteller. We will definitely stay here again.

The Amethyst Garden Inn is an absolute gem! The house itself is stunning—inside and out—with a timeless charm that instantly makes you feel at home. We stayed in the Hydrangea Suite, and it was perfect. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. Chemise, the host, is truly the heart of this experience. She made our stay unforgettable with her warm hospitality and attention to detail. But the absolute highlight was the breakfast! Chemise is an incredible cook, serving up authentic Southern-style meals that were not only delicious but also made with so much love. Each morning was a feast that we looked forward to, and it was hands down the best part of our stay. The location of the house is also fantastic—everything in Savannah seemed to be within a 30-minute walk, making it so easy to explore the area. We loved trying out nearby restaurants like The Public and Clary’s, which were both excellent recommendations. Any bed-and-breakfast in Savannah would be fortunate to have someone like Chemise running the show. Her dedication and passion for hospitality shine through in every aspect of the experience. We can’t recommend the Amethyst Garden Inn enough—it’s a true treasure in Savannah!

Gem of a place to stay. We stayed for 3days. In a quiet residential neighborhood. Chemise the InnKeeper was Great!!! Close to Forsyth Park. Southern Breakfast every morning was different. Just be aware, no TV’s here but internet worked great. About a mile away from River Street where all the action is at. Had a rental car, so we had no issues getting around and parking. Definitely recommend for anybody that wants to detach from the world for a little while.

The Amethyst Garden offers a mixed bag. It fits the definition of charming and our host Chemise was most helpful. The breakfast offering was excellent and the bed comfortable. Parking is limited, but there was only one other guest couple, so we had no difficulty using their off-street parking. On the down side, amenities are average. In particular our sink had no hot water when we arrived and it appeared to have been uncorrected by the owner, but my wife discovered quite accidentally the faucet was arranged backward (hot on the right vice left).

Pros: great location for seeing the beautiful homes, parks and feel of Savannah; fluffy white towels, soft sheets and good bed; Dahlia room had hot water with good water pressure, plenty of room with your own balcony; authentic Savannah breakfast each morning; friendly staff; lots of fun places to hang out in the house (porch, garden, balconies); clean Cons: older home with mismatched decor and some shoddy repairs/painting Overall I’m very happy with this stay. It was comfortable and quiet, yet a short walk or Uber to everything. You feel like you are staying with your great aunt in Savannah :-) Note: there are a lot of stairs but this is the same for Savannah as a whole.

Excellent. Amazing Victorian era home impeccably appointed. Very nice location, not quite in deep historic district but close enough, but also close to mall, airport etc. My daughter and I stayed in Hydrangea room which was perfect for us, but needs a better description than provided. Many families might be inconvenienced. The price of this room reflects its unique and problematic layout which for us was a bonus as otherwise we would have to purchase the use of two rooms whereas the price is only slightly more than for one room. The entry is into the main bedroom, which then progresses to bathroom and then to second bedroom. There is not a full wall between the second bedroom and d the bathroom, so sounds from bathroom can be easily heard Owners made an effort to mitigate this by enclosing the toilet with a door and shower area also has a door. However for the person in the second bedroom to exit the suite, they have to go through the bathroom and through the Master suite. Since it was only my daughter and myself, we worked out a signaling system when we were in the bathroom. She stays put at night so not an issue for her to stay in second bedroom but if she wanted to go out at night, she would have had to knock on Master bedroom door and then travel through it to the exit. This suite has no TV which again, works for us but might not for everyone. The breakfast was good and always fun to share breakfast with fellow travelers, night time snacks a bit weak but Savannah is a city of treats and great food so a great breakfast is only two blocks away again if that is an issue for you. It wasn’t for us.

We loved everything about this place! Chemise was so friendly and full of stories. She is an amazing cook and we thoroughly enjoyed her breakfasts. Our room was romantic and the house was close enough to walk to everything. Would recommend to everyone!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the Amethyst Garden Inn. With a rental car, we had to decide between paying to park at a hotel along River Street or the B & B in the historic district. Being walkers, I am glad we chose the Inn! If you are looking for quiet and quaint and enjoy getting to know the city by tramping through it, stay here. Though it was full, we always found a parking spot in their lot and it is so great to have the run of the house in the evening after returning after a long day. Multiple outdoor spaces allow for time to reflect and decompress from your day. The breakfast and hospitality by Chemise was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were great. We stayed in the Rose Room (one of the smaller rooms) but we were perfectly comfortable as we don't spend much time in our room and everyone staying in the house allowed peeks into each other's rooms (what fun!). Our flight out wasn't until evening and we were allowed to leave our car even after checking out. Not one bad thing to say about our stay!
