As another writer commented JW Marriott Prices for motel six experience… I think the June motel is a fantastic addition to Sauble - and there is so much potential to do well. We are frequent travellers and spend weekends at other upscale spots across Ontario And I will say this one is not a weekend I plan to repeat The food at heydays was excellent no complaints! The service however did not stand behind it. When paying 80 for a bottle of wine And the server has no idea if it’s dry or smooth or sweet? All she could tell us was that they sell lots. Had to request a very small sample. Ordered the french fries to go with the burgers and what came out were small ends that were likely late in the day emptying the fry basket. When asked if this was the norm, the server said they must’ve been made with small potatoes… really??? We were not offered a new order. At 8:50 on a Sunday night mid September, we asked if we could order another glass of wine and we were told everything was shut down for the night. The hotel is fully sold out And we are paying $400 a night for our stay? We overheard another group asking where perhaps they could go to order another drink or to enjoy an outdoor fire pit. The two staff working in the restaurant could not offer any options for them. Just wondering why when the hotel is sold out and the weather is lovely, the June offers nothing for guests? We understand the difference between being in season and out of season. I hardly consider the week after Labour Day being off-season but it is what it is. In other upscale small boutique hotels, the price and service would be adjusted accordingly to accommodate for the decreased amenities available. This is not the case at the June . We are paying high season prices for off season service. Really hoping the entrepreneurial spirit of the June will capitalize on the history of the Knights inn, and the Knight family, who provided exceptional service to its patrons both in the on and off season for many years! Not at all impressed.. too much time and energy put into making some mediocre Netflix show and less time focussed on training up staff in the restaurant and ensuring adequate amenities for guests.
