Hotel Dodona

Where to even begin. It’s really hard to point out the positives of this hotel. The rooms were horrible with no additional amenities such as SOAP. The pool was horrible and disgusting and the beach borderline unusable with the lake merging on the river which you aren’t allowed to cross to go to the actual beach. This is just the basics, the management were HORRIBLE. We came in from a night out only to be met with the manager of the establishment arguing and threatening us at the entrance. In his words translated “I’ll come to your face and show you what’s up”. This happened after their staff claimed that we “did not pay the bill” of £3 which we had already paid for. Only to be met constantly throughout our stay with the staff “monitoring” us despite us having paid every time. He claimed that we were rude and that he’s never had any people stay over and have any problems with their staff. Looking through the reviews you can clearly see that’s false and after pointing that out he further decided to threaten me and teach me “manners”. Embarrassing establishment and I urge all people to AVOID this hotel. There are MUCH BETTER and affordable hotels near by compared to this

We arrived here to be told that there was no booking in our name even though I had a confirmation email from *******. I had also been in contact with the hotel owner on various occasions leading up to our arrival with questions about getting to the hotel and car hire etc. He always replied and gave me the information I was asking for. So after all of this how comes they no nothing of our booking? Here's the reason; they knew exactly what they were doing to us as they then said they did have a room available, it was a twin with a balcony and sea view. Guess what? Exactly the room we had booked through ******* but they wanted another 164€ more than the agreed price we had booked a full 10 months in advance of travelling!!! This was nothing but an outrageous scam to con us out of more money! We had been up since 2am and travelling all day so we decided to pay the money and contact ******* thinking they would speak to the hotel owner and sort it out for us. Nothing was done, they were completely useless and they let the hotel owner get away with what he did to us, they kept telling us to sort it out ourselves even though they made the booking. Needless to say I advise anyone NEVER to use ******* as their confirmation of booking and price was nothing short of worthless! The hotel itself looks nice to the eye but is far from it. Here is a list of all the half finished, dangerous and hazardous things we encountered that would not pass a Health and Safety check anywhere in a European country. In no particular order; We had a pipe coming from next door through the wall onto our balcony, we had mould all over the shower cubicle, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, there was no lock on the balcony door meaning anyone could enter and further highlighting the fact there was no safe in the room exposing our belongings of value. The toilet door had no lock on it and it stank every time you walked back into the room. This was obviously apparent to the hotel as the maid used to put bleach down it every morning. Only one of the two flush buttons worked on the toilet, the shower plug hole was wrapped in hairs from previous guests, the shower head was filthy dirty, the beds were cheap and uncomfortable giving me a back ache every day, and even though it was a twin room it only had one sun bed on the balcony. In the room itself there were no tea or coffee making facilities and the TV had no signal and had exposed wiring at the back. In our corridor there were multiple areas of exposed wiring hanging down from either the walls of the ceiling. Outside the pool area was just as hazardous with one set of stairs where you enter the pool that had one of the handle bars missing and a big exposed hole in the flooring where it should have been drilled into. The pool itself was dirty with lots of insects dead on top of the water every day along with dirt and sand on it's base. There were suction holes on the pool walls that were exposed as they had no caps fitt

L’hotel si presenta bene, struttura bella e vista mozzafiato con piscina pulita. Peccato tutto il resto cada a pezzi. Lo staff é maleducato e svogliato, come se ti stesse facendo un favore enorme, incapace di accogliere clienti e turisti; le camere sono sporche, il bagno maleodorante, con odore di urina, coperto da candeggina, non c’è sapone per le mani, con il soffione della doccia che fischia forte ogni volta che si apre l’acqua; la colazione è imbarazzante per un 4 stelle, pochissima scelta e con i croissant confezionati del supermercato; il caffè si paga a parte, solo con cash; se chiedi un bicchiere d’acqua durante la giornata, non te lo danno perché l’acqua é solo per lo staff; ci avevano detto che per cena servivano solo pizza ma, inspiegabilmente, non servono neanche quella, la possono ordinare da pizzerie vicino ma quando abbiamo provato, il tipo ci ha detto che era meglio se fossimo andati noi per conto nostro per evitare di prendere una pizza non di nostro gradimento. Non é normale che un 4 stelle non abbia un servizio ristorante per la cena, considerando anche la posizione lontana dal centro, e l’impossibilità di raggiungere un posto a piedi. Non c’è un ripostiglio o magazzino per le valigie, te le fanno lasciare nella hall, per altro vuota la maggior parte del tempo. In conclusione, non consiglio assolutamente questo hotel, soprattutto per i prezzi che non rispecchiano la realtà.

Buraya gelmeden önce yorumlarına baktığımda çok korkmuştum ama geldiğimde harika bir çalışma ekibi ve muhteşem bir manzarayla karşılaştım. Otelin havuzu olması ve bir kaç merdiven indikten sonra denize ulaşıyor olmam da benim için çok rahatlatıcı oldu. Yorumları okuyarak geliyorsanız kesinlikle korkmayın emin olun harika bir tatil sizi bekliyor.

Terrificante! Hotel citato come quattro stelle che ne meriterebbe una. personale scortese che non salutava mai, camere vecchie e sporche, dal bagno veniva una puzza insopportabile di fogna, neanche una saponetta per le mani nel bagno nè appendi asciugamani, il frigobar vicino al letto e non c'era lo spazio per passare, nonostante la colazione fosse compresa facevano pagare caffè e cappuccino a parte. La spiaggia brutta e sporca, alla foce di un fiume, ombrelloni vecchi e lettini arrugginiti, che si pagano a parte. Immondizia dappertutto, in giardino, in spiaggia, nel parcheggio. In piscina un corrimano mancante alla scaletta per scendere, così da rendere impossibile la risalita, lampioni rotti. Manutenzione zero. Hotel vecchio e mal tenuto. L'unica cosa positiva la vista sul golfo di Saranda. Bravo il fotografo che ha fatto le foto dalle quali sembra una buna struttura. € 100,00 a notte per l'Albania non sono un budget basso!

L'hotel si trova in un posto strategico, lontano dal caos della movida di Saranda ma allo stesso tempo non del tutto isolato. Noi avevamo la stanza vista mare, un incanto addormentarsi e svegliarsi con il suono delle onde. Altro punto positivo è che l'acqua della spiaggia dell'hotel è bellissima, non ti costringe quindi a spostarti necessariamente tutti i giorni, ma ci sono alcune problematiche per chi come me ha soggiornato per una settimana infatti l'albergo dovrebbe garantire ( anche a pagamento volendo) un servizio lavanderia e un servizio navetta per spostarsi verso il centro e non costringere gli ospiti a noleggiare un'auto ( guidare a Saranda / Ksamil è un incubo per il parcheggio ecc caos totale). A parte questo, lo staff è molto gentile e disponibile, la cucina dell'albergo è ottima, noi abbiamo cenato spesso in hotel e non ci siamo mai pentiti.
