May Ho Hotel Sapa

Fantastic, clean spacious room, great facilities and a great size shower room with glass door so the whole room doesn't get wet. We had to check in ,in the middle of the night, after a problem with the hotel we had already booked. This was no problem at all, we booked only for that night but ended up extending or stay for three more nights and they gave a free room upgrade. Very helpful at reception, Google translate helped here but there was no problem at all. Situated in the middle of sapa Town easy walking distance to both sides. Really enjoyed my stay here, bit of luxury at a really affordable price.

This is a typical budget hotel, which can be found all over town. In fact, having stayed in a number of these hotels, I would wager the same architect and builders constructed many of them. There is nothing wrong with the hotel room or bathroom. They are reasonably well designed and well appointed/furnished. The bedding, towels, linen, etc, were in good condition. The heat/air-con unit, hot water, refrigerator, and WI-Fi all worked fine. The problem with these hotels is that the owners do zero maintenance and the cleaning is sub-par. So, unfortunately, the room and bathroom are a bit grotty and need a couple of coats of paint. Otherwise, it's a perfectly good hotel. I paid a walk-in rate of 600,000 VND which was reasonable considering that it was during a really busy week during peak season. This hotel would be a good choice for visits during the winter as it has heat and good bedding.
