During this trip to Sanya, I chose to stay at Grand Hyatt Hotel in Haitang Bay, Sanya, which was undoubtedly a very correct decision. As a senior travel enthusiast, I travel between business trips and vacations all year round, and have my own insights into the hotel's service quality and facility experience. Grand Hyatt Hotel left a deep impression on me. Whether it is the overall environment of the hotel or the meticulousness of the service staff, I have benefited a lot from this trip. First, let me talk about the hotel environment. Sanya Haitang Bay is located in the southeast of Sanya City and is one of the most beautiful bays in Sanya. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and sea, covering a vast area, surrounded by green trees and sunny. As soon as you walk into the hotel lobby, you can feel a comfortable and comfortable atmosphere. The lobby is decorated in elegant style, with the fresh atmosphere of citrus and sea breeze everywhere. The public areas of the hotel are designed in a simple and elegant manner, whether they are swimming pools, gyms, restaurants or bars. The room I stayed in was the Supreme Sea View Room, which was very spacious and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of the hotel's garden. The interior of the room is elegantly decorated, with exquisite furnishings, everything is available, the bathroom is spacious and bright, and is equipped with a separate bathtub and shower. Importantly, the bedding in the room was very comfortable and I slept very sweetly every night. In addition to excellent hardware facilities, the hotel's service is also excellent. Every service staff was enthusiastic and attentive, and left a deep impression on me without exception. May and Jasmine will take the initiative to ask me what I need, patiently answer my various questions, and ask me if I need anything else. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the outstanding service provided by the staff. Manager May was helpful thanks The front desk team was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that my check-in process was smooth and hassle-free. They took the time to explain all the facilities and services available, making me feel right at home. The concierge team truly went above and beyond. They were proactive in assisting me with my luggage and offered helpful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Their friendly demeanor and willingness to help made a lasting impression on me. It’s clear that the hotel places a high value on customer service, and it shows in every interaction. Dining at the hotel was another highlight. The restaurants offered a variety of delicious cuisines, from local specialties to international dishes. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which featured an impressive selection of fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order dishes. It was the perfect way to start my day before exploring the beautiful surroundings. Additionally, the hotel’s location is ideal for those looking to explore Sanya. We have gone into great lengths to select the best resort in Sanya Haitang Bay for our 3rd leg of the vacation from Haikou & Sanya. Our stay at Grand Hyatt was immensely enjoyable as we find the facilities and the resort to be top notch. It’s our best stay for our entire Hainan trip. Our butler Lynn has made sure our stay was impeccable as she initiated communication with us even before we arrive and made sure all our request was fulfilled. During our stay, we did requested certain services to our suite and it was performed promptly and swiftly. Since our flight was later in the afternoon, we were given an comfortable arrangement and access to the executive lounge so that we can rest out the afternoon prior to our departure. All in all , we were impressed with this resort and lastly but not least Lynn has given us the extra touch and attention to make this a very memorable stay. I highly recommend this resort.

Grand Hyatt Sanya Haitang Bay Some few keys I’d like to pinpoint during my stay in this resort. We were staying for 5 nights, from June 1st to 8th. CLEANLINESS I’m very surprised with the cleanliness in the room and surrounding areas. Walking through the lobby, garden areas, pool areas and of course the room. You’ll be able to see gardeners, housekeepers, and cleaners doing everything to clean the their areas. This resort is spotless. Five stars for that. LOCATION Location is quite far from downtown but enough to go shopping around 68 market/mall. The hotel is connected to the mall where you can find and dine local restaurants. It is good when you’re trying to avoid the pricy meal at the resort. (Go local, get cheaper) And yes, location from the airport is about 35-45 minutes away. No traffic on the way. But try to avoid some local drivers who’s trying to give you a cheaper price to send you to the hotel. Always check the price on Didi or other app. When using those apps there will be no compromise. SERVICE Service. Well, overall it was great! Starting from reception, we were greeted during the arrival with the help of our luggage and stuff and guided us through the lobby. The receptionist attended us during check-in was very attentive and helpful (I didn’t get a chance to check her name). She was very helpful, and even gave us a tour through the map and sent us to the lift to our room. The young man and young lady at the housekeeping dept. was always ready to help us with what we needed in the room and prepared a honeymoon decoration in the room on the first day with complementary champagne and a fruit basket (Downside: some are telling to give them five stars) but I totally understand as it helps them as well. Restaurant staff are relatively friendly and helpful. Very welcoming when you coming for breakfast and guide us to our seats. BUT, you’ll need to come earlier than 9. Otherwise, you’ll be lining up outside the restaurant waiting for the vacant seat. AMENITIES Amenities are well cleaned and new. Showers and tub are quite new and well maintained. Other things in the resort are basically great. Swimming at the beach is on your own risk. No lifeguard assigned to watch as it is a public beach. Basically it’s not allowed to go swimming. Haitang bay resorts are all the same. If you’re looking for a resort where you can swim, you need to find somewhere else such as Yalong bay or Wuzhizhou Island. Overall stay was great. Just bear in mind, if you’re looking for a hotel or resort for fun this resort is not for you. But if you’re looking for a relaxation and calm holiday this resort is for you. There are only few entertainment and experience you can have in the resort such as live music during barbecue dinner at the Grand Cafe, dinner in the sky, and show outside the restaurant.

The receptionist's attitude is bad. They charge an unreasonably high deposit. It is very difficult to return the deposit. The sewage system is bad.

We went there for vacation. The family room that I booked was very large, 200 m2, sea view for a very raisonnable price. The guest assistant was available on Wechat. We were not contacted to know the needs. However, she tried her best to solve the issue that we had. The manager on duty called me for apologies. I can say the employees are very kind and polite. I enjoyed a lot tje stay there.

Nice sea. Large territory. Construction and noise nearby. The room is dark and the design is an acquired taste, but there is no accounting for taste. There's not much to do. The kids' club is nice.

I came at low season in Sanya, the hotel is quiet, the room is spacious. Housekeeper Vicky is very attending and helpful, she helped arranging daily fruits and snacks as well as late check out. Highly recommended!

Very private and pleasant stay with Grand Hyatt. Well-maintained swimming pool especially with a little basketball hoop setting. Highlight of the stay is the incredibly professional and welcoming hospitality from manager Esther. Definitely worth another stay here next time.

Amazing stay. Beautiful beach. Lovely villa with a big swimming pool for kids and adults. Many floaties already included in the villa so you don’t have to worry about bringing yours. And of course it would not have been an amazing stay without the help and courtesy of “May Chen”. She has been always available whenever we needed something. Also she helped a lot with translation. Good hotel in very peaceful place.

First day check-in was a bit tough as I arrived early in the morning. Room was ready 2 PM. Room didn’t meet my “clean” expectation, so I had to ask for second round of cleaning. I understand it was busy weekend & so many guests to take care of. For this part, Manager Davidson Dong was very helpful! I got room cleaned around 7 PM and he helped me using the Club Lounge in the mean time. Because the trip is for my birthday, the hotel also provided birthday cake & the rose bed. Hotel gym was nice & spacious - but didn’t have smith machine. Beach seems like ‘not’ private exclusive beach - without sun bed - but public without lifeguard. I could fly a drone at the beach, but not in the garden of the hotel - for guest privacy reasons. Overall, it was an amazing experience here at Grand Hyatt. Thank you.

Beautiful room with very comfortable bed. We got a room with a pool, only problem was that the pool wasn’t heated and was far too cold to use. The Zen pool in the resort was lovely though. All staff were very friendly and helpful. We tried the pool grill and the Chinese restaurant on site, both had very delicious food and wonderful service. Breakfast had a huge selection of both western and Chinese options and was also very well done.
