Coco-Mat Hotel Santorini

I wanted to inform you that we were disappointed with our stay at coco mat santorini given the price of the hotel night. At first the bed linen didn't smell good, especially the gray blanket. looks like it wasn't washed. then the window was broken and let the air in and it made noise with the wind which bothered us at night. then the refrigerator was also broken. there was no tissue paper in the room. the first night there was no shower gel in the dispenser. the floor in the room had stains. finally the room fragrance was completely dry. I think at that price I could have found much better. we are very disappointed. the only positive point is your sympathy and the sea view of our room. I am very sad to do that but it is important for us to inform you that for our honey moon we hoped a better quality hotel.

**VERY DISAPPOINTED** Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at this property. It feels very tired and is in desperate need of refurbishment. We encountered rusty railings, a dirty pool with green algae on the sides, and worn, dirty sunbeds. There was a persistent sewage smell in our room, and the glossy painted floors posed a safety hazard, causing both myself and my daughter to slip. Water around the pool had nowhere to drain, pooling by the entrance. Although the property is marketed for guests aged 14+, we encountered a 10-year-old child jumping into the pool and splashing everyone, which was far from the peaceful ‘haven’ we expected. The noise from the nearby road was also quite disruptive, especially in the afternoons. Air Conditioning also struggled. We were disappointed to find that the wooden bikes advertised were not available, and the so-called ‘gym’ consisted of just a few weights and a wooden bench next to the pool — not what we had in mind. Moreover, the mattress in our room was badly worn and sagging in the middle, leading to a poor night's sleep and resulting in back pain. After our first night, I addressed these concerns with the hotel manager and kindly requested to be charged for only one night so we could leave. Unfortunately, this request was denied due to their non-refundable booking policy. (we prepaid for three nights through *******) On a positive note, the staff were polite and friendly, and the breakfast was decent. The view from the hotel was also very nice. I appreciate that everyone has different standards, but this hotel was marketed as a luxury, peaceful haven for adults, and our experience did not align with that promise. Given that we nearly paid €300 per night, the value for money simply isn't there, and we regretted booking this hotel.

Service was really nice and welcomin. Restaurant food were delicious. View from this hotel is amazing, you can perfectly see the sunset from most of the rooms and from restaurant and pool area. I can recommend this hotel. Its a bit far away from Akrotiri, walking is not recommended. You have to walk the side of driveway.

The noise from the road is quite bad as the area around the hotel is quite open, especially in the afternoons. Wooden bikes were not available/are not there, the ‘gym’ was a joke - literally a few weights and a wooden bench next to the pool. Not sure you can call that a gym! The mattress in our room was badly worn with ‘dips’/sagging in the middle. Needless to say we didn’t sleep and now suffering with back as a result. Air con is hit & miss. We requested to leave after the first night, however as we prepaid the hotel quoted their non-refundable ‘policy’

Excellent luxury hotel with great staff and views. If you are visiting the island without a car I recommend to not book this hotel because it’s so far away from (Fira, Oia etc). Breakfast is good with multiple choices as long as the lunch. Dimitris was so helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived at the hotel until we checked out.

We stayed for 7 nights and shout out for the whole team: Vasilis, Dimitri, Panos, and Maria who taking care of us during our stay. Their genuine friendliness made us feel so welcome despite my first time being in Greece. The hotel itself is beautiful. As it’s located south of the island, you won’t feel overcrowded at all just like in the north where capital Fira is located. Location is peaceful, quiet and many times we found people go around this area to see the most beautiful and serene sunset. I recommend to stay here if you are a couple who are looking for peace and romantic escape in Santorini.

Normally when writing a review about spectacular service it’s common to single out the person or people who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. However following our recent stay it is impossible to do that because absolutely every single member of the team organised by Ellie had our best interests at heart and they made our stay absolutely wonderful. This hotel has spectacular views, spectacular food, spectacular accommodation and (yes you’ve guessed it) spectacular service. I have stayed in many hotels during my years and this experience has to be the best I have ever experienced. The food is amazing - breakfast, lunch and dinner - the pool area is wonderful - the views are awesome inspiring - I’m lost for words. We were sad to leave and definitely plan to return next year !! Thank you everyone

if you need peace and luxury on your vacation then choose this hotel. The hotel offers an incredible view and very good service. the rooms are very clean and the food very tasty. the mattress and pillows are amazing. I highly recommend cocomat santorini.
