Aplada Suites

This is the first time I have ever left a negative review anywhere. Our stay was bizarre and bad to the point it put a bit of a damper on our entire time in Oia. The hotel canceled our reservation on *********** mid-way through our stay without explanation and never responded to us again. I wonder if it was to stop us from leaving a review there. Overall there were a lot of little negatives that really added up. The man working at the hotel complained that we arrived late (we got there at 4:30 pm) and made fun of us for not speaking Greek (we are from Mexico and the US). We spent about 30 minutes going back and forth with the owners over our request for an extra blanket as they demanded we explain why we wanted one instead of just saying yes or no. We had a similar experience over a wine opener. We had thought we would have access to the pools given the pictures, which we did not. Was our confusion, but be warned as the photos were misleading. Overall, it was just uncomfortable. If you are considering staying here, a couple of notes. It is a long walk from the street and steep on the way up, so if mobility is an issue, it is something to consider, though it really is beautiful and serene. As noted, the pools may not be available for you, so check! Also, it is possible to reach by bus easily. We did a bus from the airport to the center of Fira that was about 10 minutes and then another bus to Oia that was 15-20. Was much cheaper than a taxi.

So i came here for 3 nights by myself. Greated by Yiannis who was a true gentlemen so polite and friendly and was always there on the other end of phone. He is genuinly the nicest guy ever. The cleaner was always polite and happy and overall i felt really welcomed here. Paz did great comms through messages and recomended places ect. The communication was great and you can tell how proud they are of Aplada. The suit itself is stunning, literally a 4 min walk from the main spot but perfect as i had the best sleep ever no noise at all. The kitchen is well equiped and the bathroom is lovely. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds i have ever had and genuinly just a lovely stay. Breakfast was lovely and fresh and delivered to your door. Supermarkets like a 6min walk. I hired a car from airport and was about a 25min drive. Would I come back again…100%

We spent 4 nights at the Aplada Suites and can only recommend our stay. Everything was great. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the distance to Oia is short. Yannis was very nice and even drove us sometimes to the street because my mother in law has some problems with walking. We can definitively recommend Aplada Suites!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DO NOT STAY HERE. The manager (Yanos) robbed us of 380 euros, constantly harassed us, entered our apartment after we made it clear we are uncomfortable with him constantly entering our room. He refused to give us an invoice of the 380 euros he robbed us and an invoice for our stay. The place was dirty and filled with SO many ants.To top it off, the photos are a SCAM. It does NOT look like the photos posted above. I was SHOCKED. When we voiced our concerns he did not care, sometimes even completely ignored us and on our last day there he thought it would be smart to put our stay as a "No Show" WHILE WE WERE AT THE ACCOMODATION, so that we are unable to write a proper review on *********** (as we booked from there) to let the rest of the people know its a scam as we got tricked. The property manager will try and debunk all of this including the stay and therefore I have attached a photo of myself at the accommodation to prove I stayed there. All in all, the only TERRIBLE part of my trip to Santorini was Aplada Suites.

We had a relaxing six days here. The location is 5 minutes from the main street but secluded. It overlooks fields and the sea the other side of the island from the caldera. There is a rather steep path to the accommodation but it is lit at night and the hosts help with your luggage on arrival and departure. The hosts are very helpful and happy to spend their time giving you tips and ideas about what to do and where to eat. The accommodation was in a separate little house which was comfortable and serviced every day. The view from the terrace was great. We were able to relax in tranquil surroundings.

We booked this place almost 2 months before the trip. Booked it through **********. Initially I booked a regular room but, later got in touch with the property manager through WhatsApp number provided and requested for a upgrade to a suite with a city view. After arriving to the property - we were so disappointed some of the pictures uploaded on ********** were not from the property & the location was not the same as mentioned on **********. Discussed the matter with the manager/ owner Yiannis and he said they have no tie up with ********** & they did not upload those pictures of provide the address. We wanted to leave & go to a different place. However, they would not let us leave & wouldn’t refund the money already paid. After getting in touch with ********** - they informed that they only provide information provided to them by the property. And, I definitely believe ********** is being honest & Yiannis is just a liar & fraud. He pretends to be the nicest guy but, its all pretend. He promised me a statement from Aplada suites stating that they did not upload those pictures or address on ********** but, its over 3 weeks & I still never received the statement.
