Margarita Hotel

We have thoroughly enjoyed a few wonderful days at Viva Margarita where the excellent service began well before we arrived, with Konstantinos messaging about our arrival and pick up etc. Sure enough he was waiting for us at the bus stop with his lovely warm smile, ready to whisk us to his and Santa’s creative and most ‘colourful’ hotel, with helpful hints along the short journey for our stay. We were then offered delicious coffee on the roof terrace where he advised us on things to do/best beaches and where to eat both in Parikia and around the island. All of his recommendations were spot on. The highlight of this simple hotel is the amazing roof terrace where all guests are offered great coffee/tea and cake each morning. The vibe there is superb and particularly suits solo travellers as everyone is welcomed and can enjoy sharing their stories of life/trqvel adventures. We met some fabulous people there, including our hosts, and it made our stay in Parikia absolutely perfect.

Our stay at Margarita was amazing and we would highly recommend staying here. Elisa was so attentive, friendly and helpful. She talked us through the island and helped us plan our stay. We booked a double room but were upgraded for free to the suite which was amazing! The price of this hotel was very reasonable for Fira. Breakfast was included in our stay and had a good selection of food. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and nicely decorated. The bed was clean and very comfortable, and we had a coffee table and chairs, and make up vanity section. There was space to hang up clothes, keep suitcases and a fridge. The bathroom was huge with a big bath tub and an overhead rainfall shower. There were plenty of soft white towels and complimentary toiletries. Our little terrace had a private jacuzzi but this was an additional cost. We didn’t use it as we were not in the room much as we were busy exploring, and it isn’t the most secluded. The little terrace area had a table and chairs but did not have anywhere to hang swimsuits which would’ve been useful. Our room was close to the street, but it was not particularly noisy, even at night, and did not disturb us but I would recommend earplugs if you’re very sensitive to noise. The location was great, it was away from the town centre, making it quiet and peaceful, but easily accessible on foot (5-10 mins walk). It is close to shops, restaurants and bakeries etc. and is central on the island, making it a great location to explore every corner of Santorini. The swimming pool and pool bar were amazing. The area was so clean and decorated well. It was never busy and you could always find a sun lounger. On our last day they let us stay by the pool all day even after we had checked out. We had lunch from the pool bar and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. There was a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. Elisa helped us get a good deal with our airport transfer. The hotel is 18 mins walk, slightly up hill, from the bus station which we did when we arrived, but to save time and carrying our bags again we opted for a taxi airport transfer when leaving. (For info, buses cost around €2 per person per journey and all routes start/end in Fira, making this hotel a great location if you plan to explore by bus. The airport transfer was €25 for 2 people). There was a small shower room near the pool which was useful, however, it did not have a toilet, the shower head was not attached the wall, there was no hook to hang your clothes or towel on, and no shelf to put your toiletries on. The nearest toilet was through reception, which was not close to the pool. It would be great if the hotel could renovate the shower room and upgrade the facilities as this would improve the experience by the pool massively. I’m hopeful that this is something they will do as they seem to be continually improving the hotel. Our only other issue was there was no bedroom bin, but this wasn’t a huge concern a

This place is fantastic and a great value. We ate breakfast there every morning and hung out at the pool when it was sunny out. Being able to order cocktails and lunch there was a nice treat. The staff was incredible thoughtful, friendly and helpful. Our friends stayed up the hill and barely left their hotel because the stairs getting to & from were so scary. We were able to get dropped off and picked up right out front, no scary stairs. It is super close to Fira and walking into town for a bus or to shop is easy. We stayed in a DOUBLE OR TWIN ROOM and the LISIANTHUS SUITE. The double room was perfectly fine. Small, but we were out and about exploring every day so we didn't need much space. The last few nights we were in the lisianthus suite and it was magic. The room was spacious and the private hot tub was a real treat. The food at the pool was amazing. We got the club sandwich for lunch two of the days and it was so delicious! 10/10 recommend. The breakfast included was also delightful. They had the traditional pastries and cereal, but they also had hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, deli meat and cheese for some protein. Being able to grab a decent cup of coffee was also a nice perk in the morning. Highly recommend due to the cleanliness, affordability, amazing staff and the location. Would 100% stay there again.

My girfriend and I visited Paros for 2 nights and stayed in this hotel. We happened to be the first guests of the new season! We were greeted by one of the owners, who gave us some quick directions about the island and a few minutes later we were already in our room. The hotel in general and the room in particular are family-like, with happy vibes and bright colours all around. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet, so our sleep was satisfactory. Just don't expect luxuries. We would visit again. Recommended!

This was a lovely hotel on outskirts of Fira (10 minute walk). The hotel seemed to have been recently renovated, breakfast had a great selection, the staff was very friendly, lovely pool area and pool bar. The bedroom, bed and bathroom were all very small, not much room for luggage. Bed not very comfortable. Our room had a big balcony on the side (shame there was no sun loungers). We would stay here again if returning to Santorini.

Viva Margarita es mucho más que un hotel: es un lugar lleno de color, alegría y detalles que te hacen sentir como en casa desde el primer momento. Las habitaciones tienen todo lo necesario —cama cómoda, lavabo— y está todo impecable y muy limpio. La ubicación es inmejorable, cerca de todo. Pero lo que de verdad hace especial este sitio es su dueño, la persona más hospitalaria que he conocido nunca. Habla varios idiomas y, en nuestro caso, nos atendió en todo momento en español, algo que hizo que nos sintiéramos aún más a gusto. Siempre tiene una sonrisa en la cara, te recibe en el puerto aunque esté a dos pasos del hotel, y cada mañana te prepara un café enorme —que en cualquier cafetería costaría 10 €— acompañado de un bizcocho casero delicioso. Además, tienes té y chocolate siempre a tu disposición. Su paciencia y dedicación son increíbles: se toma el tiempo de explicar a cada grupo un itinerario personalizado con recomendaciones para aprovechar la zona al máximo, y está disponible todo el día por WhatsApp para ayudarte con lo que necesites. Además, te presta de todo: secador, plancha para la ropa, toallas para la playa, crema solar… ¡lo que haga falta! A su mujer no llegamos a conocerla, pero seguro que es igual de amable y atenta, ya que también facilita su número de contacto y está siempre disponible para ayudar. Volveré a Paros y sin pensarlo dos veces volveré a Viva Margarita. Gracias por hacer de nuestra estancia algo tan especial.
