Meltemi Excelsior Suites

My partner and I have just returned from a lovely week staying in the Excelsior Suites. We had a ground floor apartment with our own pool which was fantastic. We had a pool either side of our room as well so we spent some time in both. The hotel was ideally placed in the centre of Perissa with shops , bars and bus stops just outside of the Hotel. The beach was a ten minute walk along a quiet road. We cannot fault our stay, the hotel, room and staff were absolutely brilliant and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast choice was more than enough with fresh fruit, pastries and plenty of hot choices. Wish we had booked 2 weeks rather than 1!! We would highly recommend this Hotel. Thank you again for welcoming us to your beautiful island

Absolutely amazing place to stay, rooms were lovely, the bed was very comfortable, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the lady on reception was very helpful, Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choices. Bars & restaurants on the main road just outside, it’s a 5-10 minute walk to the beach where there are plenty of restaurants , again everyone was so friendly you weren’t hassled just very relaxing, Meltemi cocktail bar is great also Tranquilo bar is very chilled . We will most definitely be back. Couldn’t fault a thing

Fantastic Hotel, spotless rooms, amazing shower/wet room facility, really comfortable bed, smart tv so could access Netflix/ youtube/ etc, added bonus of a jacuzzi on a ‘sun trap’ balcony, rooms cleaned everyday to a high standard and all towels and dressing gowns replaced, use of a smallish rectangular pool and sunbathing area on one side of the block of suites, then on the other side near reception and bar area a large pool great for swimming , really comfy sun loungers, breakfast was amazing, didn’t need anything else until night, top facilities in the dining area to prevent unnecessary queues such as at least 3 coffee machines etc, tables were well away from food stations so you didn’t feel you were on top of each other, the staff in the breakfast room and pool bar were amazing and quick and cleaning up finished plates/cups etc. Reception staff were amazing , in fact all staff were and so polite. Really lovely hotel, cannot fault it at all.

We went in August 2023! It’s taken me a long time to get around to writing this but I haven’t forgotten what an amazing time we had here. We had a room with its own private pool and this made our holiday even more special. We came for our honeymoon and I hope we get to come back. Our room was very clean, excellent air conditioning which was very needed! Helpful staff who were happy to recommend things to do and see while we were there. The only thing that let this hotel down was the gym (or lack thereof really) but the hotel arranged for us to use the gym at the sister hotel so if you like to workout on holiday then I would ask to visit the sister hotel. I honestly think this hotel is great value for money and we enjoyed being in a quieter part of the island. Although Oia is well worth a visit!

My boyfriend and I just got back from a week away in Santorini staying at these suites. We had one of the best holidays we have ever had at this hotel and I am truly sad to have left. I personally haven't left the U.K since 2019 so I was very nervous to go on holiday again but this glorious break at this hotel was exactly what I needed to build up my confidence in travelling and remind me why I love going away. We would like to thank all of the staff members at this hotel for our brilliant stay as each and every one was so polite, professional, friendly and helpful! The bar staff were always very chatty and made the best cocktails ever! We loved the fact that you can order food and drink right to your sun bed and the staff were regularly coming round to take your plates and rubbish away and making sure everything was satisfactory. In addition, the staff at the reception were always very happy to help with whatever request you had. On the first day I asked for an additional pillow and within an hour it was bought to our room, additionally when we had a problem with the whirlpool someone came to our room within 10 minutes of the request being made to resolve it. The staff also helped us to book our boat excursion and spa treatments, so we really want to thank you all for making our holiday such a wonderful experience. If you wish to use the spa, I would encourage you to do so as I had a brilliant time there and for £90 I got a full body massage and a 15 minute facial! I would highly recommend the suites with the whirlpools to anyone who is looking at staying at this hotel. We had a suite on the top level so the pool was slightly smaller than the ones below. However, we had the sun shining on our balcony late into the evening so we would spend hours enjoying the view in the whirlpool before going out to dinner. The room was also very clean and generously sized. The shower was a walk in shower with lots of space which is something I look for in hotels as I hate to feel cramped in (and also my boyfriend is 6'6 so we struggle with smaller sized rooms). Finally, the bed itself was so comfortable to sleep on so we never had any issues with sleep. It was the perfect size for both of us and also had the right amount of softness whilst supporting your back when you slept. We both slept so well this holiday!! In addition, booking these suites means you get access to both pools in the hotel so there's more choice/ privacy should you want it. We used the private pool for the first few days and were very impressed with the quality of the beds. The sun beds were very sturdy and had thick pillows on which were extremely comfortable to lay on. The pool itself was quite small and a lot of the sun beds were placed directly in the sun with little shade, so they would be in the sun all day long. There weren't any parasols in the private pool area (however there were some trees that provided some shady spots) which meant you really were exposed to the sun in this

This place is incredible! My mum and I stayed here recently for her 70th birthday and her first comment was ‘how is this not 5*?!’. The staff were incredibly friendly, our suite (downstairs with whirlpool) was spacious and super clean, great location! The room was cleaned to a high standard daily. Don’t get mixed up with some reviews on trip advisor which describe the hotel and not the suites. We will definitely be returning!
