Kastro Oia Houses

We booked two nights in Kastro houses during our Greek islands hopping adventure and we couldn’t have done better. The room was located right across the famous sunset ruin and has one of the most iconic doors of Oia. Very instagrammable! The courtyard is overlooking Ammoudi bay and breakfast was served there. It was the best breakfast ever -baked omelettes, crème caramel, croissants, cheese and sausage, fresh orange juice etc. The cave style room is quite spacious with an original bathroom that used to be a water reservoir in the past, with traditional furnishings and it was very clean. Perfect spot in Oia, the most picturesque Santorini village.

For the start, Hotel has to provide guests a porter to help with a luggage which wasn’t done for us. We had to carry our luggage ourselves all the way up until some guy from the restaurant felt sorry for us and offered to call them and explain them in Greek (because they basically don’t speak English which is ridiculous since there are so many Americans and Europeans), then a bell boy dropped heavy luggage on my toe (of course unintentionally) but I never got any apologize from the hostess or at least anything similar to it. In 5 days my big toe nail simply fell off because it was damaged. Hotel as courtesy provides you rotten fruits on arrival - very romantic. We booked a room with jacuzzi and intended to use it, but it was ice-cold, we asked 3 times to fix it and heat it up, so 3 times staff came to us but no one did anything. When finally we asked for the manager no one showed up. However in the morning they did, without even trying to make amends. They lied in our faces that jacuzzi was warm enough and that we caused noise by closing the doors at the terrace, which is absolutely ridiculous, there is a wind draft because it’s the top of the hill, besides I am in my room and have a right to close the door as I want it. As a cherry on a top, that’s the worst breakfast which I had in Greece, paper sausages (and don’t expect they will ask if you’re vegetarian or lactose intolerant, they simply bring same to all the clients without caring if they can eat it or not) and some really basic stuff. Our romantic vacation in Santorini was completely ruined thanks to Kastro Oia Suits. Rude and unprofessional staff, poor English so you won’t be listened and understood, services for which we paint were not available, very bad breakfast like in cheap bistro and on top of that crowds of people almost at your terrace, which is not the fault of the Hotel of course but still doesn’t give you the feeling of privacy.

Solo una bella vista!dentro sporco vecchio ,sulle mura c è muffa,personale scortese ,con anche la pretesa illegale di fotocopiare carta di credito davanti e dietro non si sa per cosa visto che il pagamento era stato effettuato in anticipo ,oltre che tutte le richieste ed esigenze sono state ignorate !!conclusione il prezzo vale solo per la vista il resto è da dimenticare,,
