Good overall location and the refurbishment since the last time I stayed is a huge eye-opener. Good to see more investments going into the area El Conde as the place was going into decline.

The breakfast was really good and delicious. The staff was very friendly just I wrote them in order to change the room but they didnt reply me so I advice they check the messages and reply timely. The bedroom with 1 queen bed was really nice. They didnt have many options for 2 twin beds altought it was clean. AC works very good. Is really well located in downtown area, there are several restaurants and bars just by walking distance.

The location of the hotel is the best place to see the beautiful old city around. be very clean and kind

Prior to booking this hotel I felt a little skeptical after reading the reviews. I decided to book a room with a balcony because I didn't like the idea of getting a room without windows or a very small one. Ended up with a corner room which has two balconies. The room was comfortable and spacious. The area is a little noisy but the A/C was able to block some the traffic noise. I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel itself and have no issues with returning. The service was excellent. No problems with check-in/check-out. The breakfast was excellent and has a wide variety of food. Easy walk to the Colonial Zone, restaurants and shopping. It was nice relaxing in the evenings on the roof top bar. Nice menu choices. I will definitely stay at this hotel on my next visit to Santo Domingo.

The hotel is located in the center of colonial zone. Walking distance to all major attractions. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes just steps away. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We enjoy the rooftop bar a lot and the service is very good.

Lovely hotel located in a prime location. The staff was friendly and the food in their rooftop decent. I was not crazy about the room which was so small only the bed and a tiny nightstand fit in it. The worst part for me was there was no window in the room which made me feel constrained

A relatively new and newly renovated hotel in the Santo Domingo Colonial Zone, easy access to the airport highway (ride to SDQ about $25 with Uber), walking distance to the San Juan (Caribe) ferry terminal (if you travel light). 3 minute walk to Plaza Colon, everything else worth seeing (and there's a lot) in this very impressive historic zone is within walking distance (everywhere you look, renovations, roads and sidewalks updated, new cool places, etc, etc, this part of town gets better on every visit.) Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace over the older part of the complex, the much newer add-on building has a roof top bar open sometime late afternoon/evening. I stayed in the older part (the rooms with balconies), I understand that the rooms in the newer part (no balconies) may be a bit more comfortable, i.e., spacious, consider that if you are sharing the room with one or two others. Its all connected, including the roof tops, it might as well be the same building once your inside. Pleasant and efficient service, no AC or water issues. Breakfast offering is limited and nothing is really tasty, so if breakfast is a deal breaker, consider other options or eat out. There are good food choices in every direction. Same for nightlife, a lot to do and see all within a safe walking distance. I'm booking here again.

Well decorated hotel, love the lobby and terrace. Room was spacious and lobby staff were very friends. It is located very close to the colonial zone and many museum which made exploring quite easy. Would definately visit again.

Stayed here at weekend with family. Well located, lobby is cute. Other than that, disaapiinted. They bait a d switched us in room (had booked a King bed, but they told is they gave it away to someone - no reason). Rioms are sparce, cold hardly any wi dows. Decor is ugly feels unfinished. Place is super noisy (was in 4 different rooms) because everything is concrete and tile with no sound absorbing rugs or furniture. Bedroom door is cracked (huge hole down the middle) just fewls cheap. Staff is so so...asked for extra key and itbwas as if I asked for the life of their first born. Asked for an iron and ironing board and they said "well see"...definetely not a place I would come back to.

Love the rooftop bar and restaurant! Visited here for work. And was overwhelmed by the culture and community. Hamlet is great.! Views at night are amazing. Well worth a visit. This hotel is close for a experience of the colonial downtown area
