This is a motel, not a hotel. The paint is fresh and funky, the rooms spiffied up a bit, but the facility is a classic roadside motel with cars parked a few feet from the room doors and very modest amenities. The price is double what it's worth – I recently paid $325 for one night. They will also try to stick you with a "destination fee" of $25 for stuff typically included with the room: WiFi, coffee, etc. Rip-off!

We booked this hotel for a late arrival on a roadtrip. Luckily they have checkin till 2am. It was a cute remodeled motel with great design, nice staff and an awesome location. They had a nice breakfast and basic amenities. I was impressed with the very clean modern room for a this price.

The room was clean, cozy, and extremely comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. We could park in front of our room and appreciated rhe location near the ocean.

This is an old motor court that has been nicely updated to a boutique-style hotel. My room was very clean, felt new, and the stay was quite pleasant. The staff is generally friendly and helpful. They offer some so-so breakfast snacks. The location is about a mile from the Pier but there are busses close by. A Walgreens across the street and several restaurants are helpful. This area of Santa Monica is a bit grungy and there are a lot of homeless people. This is true nearly everywhere in Santa Monica, but if you are looking to pop out of your hotel and be near the tourist attractions, or are uncomfortable on the street, this is not the place for you. If you are an independent traveler or driving, you’ll enjoy it. I don’t think the area is unsafe, but it’s not Rodeo Drive.

Our 4-day stay was just brilliant. Outstanding friendliness and service from the staff. And some little things made it truly outstanding - a hand-written welcome note, multiple types of pillows, breakfast goodies, free use of electrical bikes, 24-hour on-site support . . . whatever request I made was happily agreed to!!

I chose this hotel due to its location, value, and flexibility when it came to parking. I had work obligations at specific times and although I arrived prior to check in and departed the city after check out time, I was allowed to keep my car there during the extended period with no extra charge. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The espresso and other in-room amenities were a plus. The design is modern, clean and pleasing to the eye. There is a tall palm tree in the center of the property, a visual iconic to California. 30-minute walk to shops, restaurants and the ocean was exactly what I was looking for.

I loved my stay here. Simple, but renovated and really clean. Laura was a 5 star receptionist. She helped me with ideas, how to travel and where to avoid. Top marks to all the staff. A simple breakfast snack and coffe available every morning. Nothing for the staff was a problem. I'll be back.

I stayed in February as a solo female traveler. Location is a 10. Room was 10/10 clean (Sidny, thank you!). Customer service was great too. Laura and a young guy at the front desk were great! I felt safe as a woman being alone and it was quiet. Would stay again.

I loved this little hotel and my stay was made extra great by all the staff but especially Laura and Enrique. They both were amazing and did all they could to ensure my stay was perfect! The electric bikes were super fun and the room was nice and clean.
