We haven’t even finished our stay here but it is already my favourite hostel I have ever stayed in! The hostel itself is so beautiful with breathtaking views over the mountains and amazing facilities. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and the staff are SO kind and helpful. Would recommend to ANYONE to stay here and such good value for money.

This is the most beautiful lodge in the mountains 2.5km above Minca, surrounded by indigenous trees with stunning views of Santa Marta in the distance. The rooms were very comfortable with cotton bedding and mosquito nets and great hot showers. Valerie the owner grows her own vegetables and the vegetarian meals were superb. It's a good location for walking to a number of good viewing points, a coffee plantation next door and also some waterfalls. The swimming pool area is a great place for a cold beer and to watch the sun go down. Would highly recommend.

One of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed. Outside of Minca town in the mountains with the most beautiful pool area and comfortable rooms. Great chilled out vibes, delicious farm to table meals and filtered water for guests. Yoga classes were offered outdoors with the most amazing view. The staff were so helpful and pleasant. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I've stayed at numerous hotels around the world, and Mundo Nuevo ranks in my top 5. The view from this hotel is simply breathtaking, the vegetarian food is excellent. Special mention to the team which is adorable, always ready to help. The activities around are really diverse with special, I really loved the coffee tour and don't miss the stunning Workshop farm to table. If you look for a place to reconnect with nature for few days during your trips, Mundo Nuevo is the place to be !

Stunning view + the staff was very welcoming and attentive to our needs during our stay. Every detail is taken, care of, so much work has been put into Mundo Nuevo ! For backpackers, couples and groups. Absolutely would recommend. Thanks again !

I have been to this place 2 times and it is just wonderfull so peaceful. The staff is very friendly, amazing view and very quiet. The rooms are very clean, beautiful and also very nice view. Perfect place to rest bus also see beautiful Minca and surroundings. A must see and go!

This was truly such a special spot I'm unsure I've ever had a similar experience. The workers were warm and welcoming, the pool was gorgeous and perfect for the hot afternoons, and the rooms had everything you needed. I'm not a vegetarian but really enjoyed every meal we had, the desserts were amazing. I'm so grateful for the time we had.

We loved our stay at Mundo Nuevo! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The meals were delicious, filling, and affordable. The pool and views were stunning! Be warned that it is located outside of Minca so you should take a moto taxi or car. A great little retreat!

Best place by a mile to stay in Minca. Absolutely stunning views and sunset from the pool area. Staff was super friendly and the vegetarian meals were great and freshly prepared.

The road to the hostel/lodge is pretty treacherous with 3km of bumpy road which requires a 4x4 jeep. This means that you’re pretty restricted on things to do whilst staying at Mundo Nuevo. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. I have to say the best thing about the place is the pool area with the views of the mountains which is truly stunning with one of the best sunsets I’ve ever seen. Be careful of the mosquitoes and midges as they started biting mid afternoon as both my partner and I were covered in bites. This should be expected as staying in remote jungle location but something to bare in mind. The main issue and reason for the bad score is that I had very bad food poisoning on my final day of the stay, the night where I was up vomiting all night and going into the next day after my partner and I had left which meant we had to cancel our bus to Cartagena as we were unfit to travel. I was unable to keep down any food or liquid for roughly 36-48 hours. Due to the remoteness of the hostel/ lodge we only ate and drank at the hostel/ lodge so I have to put this illness down to either the food or the water (drank only from the tap by the front desk which we were told by reception during check in that it was drinkable water). Plus there were 2 other guest who came down with the same sickness bug during our stay. Please look into your cooking/ drinking water facilities as this tarnished what would have been a very good stay.

We visited Mundo Nuevo several times while staying down (literally) the road at La Casita. There’s a great vibe there. Ae had a few meals there which were really nice. We also had a bird tour through them with a birder named Elkin who was a great guide. Saw and heard stuff no one else would’ve in a million years, like a toucan very high up. . The setting is really stunning and the staff were super nice and helpful.

Scenic location with very nice common spaces and tasty vegetatarian food. Difficult access which means you are essentially isolated during your stay. If you book at la casita do consider: 1) it is not just 30 mins from the main complex - it is difficult uphill terrain and with no lighting so the walk is done at dark after dinner, even trickier whne it rains (and it does);2) la casita gets the sun in the afternoon - it gets hot and the windows cannot be opened (no nets)

Beautiful and peaceful place. Staff are wonderful. Great meals offered for an additional fee. You won’t be disappointed it’s truly magical. We paid extra for a bigger private room, I think I would downgrade for a more affordable room next time as the cost of the meals and transport to and from the ecolodge add up. But I would def come back again.

Incredible place! I was bluffed, it would be an error not to take a break in this hotel for 2 nights if you're in Santa Marta région. Food was amazing, location and view astonishing, service was lovely
