I just had the most enchanting experience at Four Kachinas Inn for four beautiful nights! As a solo traveler in town for a writers' retreat, I couldn't have chosen a better location. Tucked away on a quiet street just south of the plaza, I was close enough to walk to many beautiful areas of town, but far enough away to enjoy the beauty and serenity of this superb bed and breakfast. Upon checking in, I was greeted warmly by Walt, Hannah, and Pretzel (one kind human and two sweet doggies). The bed and linens were luxurious, as was the provided bathrobe, which I begrudgingly exchanged for regular clothes before heading to the breakfast room every morning. Speaking of breakfast, the amazing and attentive staff served up lovely and unique dishes every day. Think homemade cones, strata, waffles, shakshuka, coffee cake. Fresh, perfectly ripe fruit is also served daily, along with yogurt, granola, cheese, bagels, and the most delicious locally roasted coffee. I loved the intimacy of the Four Kachinas. With only six guest rooms, it feels very inviting and homey. I had wonderful conversations with other guests over breakfast. But there is also no pressure to mingle if you prefer to do your own thing. There are plenty of sitting areas and a beautiful patio space so guests can spread out. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the property. The Railyard district and Canyon Road, famous for its dozens of art galleries, are also an easy walk. It's truly the perfect place to call home when in Santa Fe!
