Mas Tapiolas

Lovely spot and very peaceful. We stayed in a family room which was average. Kids had a pull out bed which was poor but we changed to an another room that had two single beds which was better. Staff were reactive as opposed to proactive. Everything at an extra cost like the pitch and putt and use of bikes. Mark up on wine high for Spanish restaurants. Snack menu - food processed. Main restaurant- Food excellent but expensive Breakfast - excellent, except coffee which is from a espresso machine Location really good. If this hotel was not so expensive and the service better and snack menu not an afterthought then it would be excellent, but it is and they are hence the poor review.

Amazing hotel and great service. The food particularly the seafood was delicious served by the great Martin and Juliette at reception made our stay the best. The spa was impeccable and same for the rooms. We went with children of different ages and they all could find great activities onsite.

The setting is fabulous with well-maintained grounds. It was well worth paying extra for a garden room, as this provided extra space and privacy. We did not have a car and enjoyed exploring the area on foot, although bicycles are available to hire, and used Shuttle Direct for transport to and from Girona, although a bus service is also available from Santa Cristina d'Aro. We were amazed at the amount of wildlife, with sparrows everywhere and swallows enjoying skimming the surface of the pool and we even saw bats and (dead) snakes. It seems the hotel grounds are managed in an environmentally friendly manner. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and the spa is perfect if the weather is not great. Fabulous setting for the much appreciated outdoor eating options. The only downside for us was the (expensive) lunch and dinner menu items and the over-reliance on red meat, with very few vegetarian options. We discovered afterwards that it's possible to ask for a sandwich menu at lunch time, but still expensive.

Beautiful little getaway resort. Staff were all friendly and helpful. My wife and I had 2 humongous suitcases and they gave us the option of upgrading for 10euros more for a room which was accesible by elevator. Appreciated the attentiveness of the staff on that part, because those suitcases were damned heavy. The room was very nice and cozy. Had a Nespresso machine, loved that touch. We had a balcony overlooking some greens. They have a niceky groomed pitch and putt course forr those in the mood to practice their short game. They also have a spa for those looking for some relaxation therapy. I was less impressed by the restaurant, specifically the dinner service. Staff were friendly but I had to remind the waiter that I ordered a draft beer since my salad came first. The food could have been better. The salad was just some jarred asparagus and olive paste surrounding what seemed to me like tuna flakes from a can. The ribeye was fine but the grilled sole was served lukewarm. Breakfast buffet the next morning was fine with almost anything you can ask for. Would go back in the summer if given the chance, but I would make dinner reservations elsewhere.

The hotel offers an excellent environment for a leisurely weekend with family, nestled close to the coast yet surrounded by forest. The restaurant provides an outstanding culinary experience. The bar, featuring a charming fireplace, is a delightful spot to enjoy drinks and appreciate the crackling of wood in the fire, adding a soothing element to the serene atmosphere. Additionally, the spa adds the final touch, completing the full relaxation experience for guests.

Gorgeous place in a great location and the food is exceptional. Immaculate and comfortable room which included a separate place for our teen which was perfect. Plenty to do locally and easy to get into Barcelona. For more relaxing days the pool is perfect and we had fun playing pitch and putt.
