Cala San Miguel Ibiza Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

Unfortunately we have had an unfortunate experience staying in this hotel. First noticed it when we arrived at the hotel, it was not busy, there was 6+ members of staff but took over 20 mins to order food and drinks. The food is nice but you can get just as good food in the surrounding restaurants for half the price. Had another bad experience when my partner ordered some drinks for her friends on movie night, she sat near the sunbeds so they did not disturb the movie. She was first refused service in 'that area' so she went and ordered the drinks at the bar. Drinks took over 40 mins until a staff member walked over to ask us to collect her own drinks. We were locked out the hotel 3 times after staying out late, our key card would not work. Once we had to climb through the beach club, next time we used the main entrance and called the bell. 3rd time we called the bell 10+ times and had to climb between a wall to get in. Found 3 members of staff chatting on the sofas. Poor attitudes from some of the members of staff, they treat you like they don't want you there. Everything is hard work. Breakfast never went smoothly, waiting 30 mins for a coffee. Undercooked pancakes, undercooked eggs, 4 options of luke warm cooked veg. We were getting married on the island during our stay and we really regret staying in this hotel. Our make up artist was treated poorly by security because she did not go via reception, even though we informed them they would be coming. 1st night we paid €50 a head for a buffet with one hanging kebab, a staff member chased after us to accuse us of not paying when our bill was €350 between 5 people (we had paid in cash) honestly I would advise to eat out and be treated far better. (Chiringuito/Tom toms/Sol I camp The new beach club opened next to the main pool, went to go and check it out. We were the only ones there 5 members of staff whispering (what could possibly happen now) they come over and inform us if we want to sit there it'll cost €450 extra! Last day we waited 30 mins before getting a food order, then waited over an hour for 7 chicken wings. No food was coming out the kitchen, there was no one else eating. Only positives are the resort is very well furnished and comfortable, the pool areas and room layout is lovely. Some of the more experienced staff on reception and entertainment couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It's mostly the pool side staff letting the side down. This hotel has the base work but really needs a better attitude with it's guests.

Beautiful hotel with very nice staff. Nice perk was the activities were included and we did a lovely sunset paddleboard which was stunning. Restaurants inside and outside the hotel were very nice too. We had a lovely time.
