Das Edelweiss - Salzburg Mountain Resort

My husband and I stayed at the beautiful Hotel Edelweiss in Grossarl in July, and it was a flawless experience. As Italians, we truly appreciated the warm and exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. The hotel itself is stunning, with a relaxing atmosphere where nothing is missing—it’s the perfect place to unwind. The food was fantastic, with every meal a true delight, and the staff were friendly and incredibly well-organized, ensuring every detail was taken care of. Special thanks to Marina, our wonderful waitress, who was always welcoming and attentive, and to Mario, the bartender, who made our evenings memorable with his skillfully crafted drinks. Karin Hettegger, the owner, personally visited each table every evening, which added a wonderfully personal touch to our experience. The reception staff also suggested a visit to Salzburg, which turned out to be a highlight of our trip—an incredible recommendation we’re so glad we followed! For anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing getaway, Hotel Edelweiss is an outstanding choice. We couldn’t recommend it more!"

Thank you for our stay at this beautiful hotel. The hotel is stunning, with breathtaking views, and offers excellent facilities for both children and adults. The food was outstanding, both at breakfast and dinner. We encountered an issue with the children’s bathroom, which was personally handled by the hotel owner. Adele, who assisted us throughout our stay—from the reservation process, with the flexible cancellation policy, to our entire time at the hotel—was incredibly helpful, always with a smile and a generous attitude. We were very pleased with our stay and look forward to returning again😊😊😊

The hotel is located in a stunningly beautiful place. We really enjoyed the spa area and in particular the adults only infinity pool. It offers a great view especially in the evening and the steaming, warm water offers a great contrast to the snowy surroundings. The food was also excellent. Both for breakfast and dinner. Appropriate amount of choices, high quality ingredients and well prepared. I really think that it is a very good place to stay at, but I also want to give feedback about some negatives: - The staff is generally friendly on average, but let’s just say there are a few „bad apples“. No terrible experiences, just sometimes not as helpful as you might expect. Example: I wanted to get service in the cigar lounge. There is a button there that should call a staff member. We pushed it and waited. Nothing. Pushed again and waited. Nothing. We went to the reception and the lady told us that normally someone should come and she would call. We went back and waited again for 20 Minutes. Nobody ever came and we also did not hear from the lady at the reception again. Then we reported this to the concierge and she apologised and explained to us that the staff is probably busy and we should try asking at the bar. - The price point of the hotel and services offered is very „ambitious“. For me personally that would be acceptable if the service offered is exceptional. The pool opening times for example are not exceptional. They are only open to guests until 7 pm. After that you are only able to book it for private sessions - understandably at a pretty high rate . I would prefer it, if they offered access to the pools for guests longer. - We were not able to regulate the room‘s temperature in any way. It was quite hot in the room and we would have preferred a bit of a cooler temperature. I don’t know how the situation is in summer. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the hotel is certainly above average.
