We visited the hotel by renting a private apartment located within the property. The apartment was perfect and ideally situated in the hotel. The hotel itself was excellent, with great facilities, well-maintained areas, and friendly, accommodating staff. We stayed for a week, and everything was to our satisfaction—except for the last day. On the final day, large groups of visitors arrived, and there was loud music playing in the central hall of the hotel, which added significantly to the disturbance. Many smokers gathered at the hotel entrance, forcing us, as non-smokers, to walk through a haze of smoke to enter. In the basement, there was a party where smoking was also prevalent. Unfortunately, the hotel staff did not intervene to address the loud music in the central hall, the smoking, or the disruption caused by these groups. As a result, the next day, the hotel hallways and elevator reeked of smoke, and the basement was left in disarray, with a significant amount of litter, including countless cigarette butts. Additionally, the manager, as a smoker, may not be fully aware of the impact of smoking on non-smokers and the hotel atmosphere. For instance, when sitting in the bar, he would step outside for a cigarette near the (terrace) door. Unfortunately, this not only let in cold air but also allowed the smell of cigarettes to waft inside, which was unpleasant. While the hotel and its staff were otherwise excellent, the lack of action to manage the loud music in the central hall, the smoke, and the mess on the last day, combined with the smoking habits near entrances, were disappointing.

We booked hotel from 30.3. - 2.4. We were very satisfied. No problem with late arrival and very nice and kind staff at reception. As the weather was bad, we really enjoyed to spend a lot of time at spa and pool. Because the season in Bad Gastein was near to the end of winter times, hotel was not full. So it was so nice to relax at pool and spa, where was " nobody". We had room with balcony - I am reccommending. All was very clean and perfect. Breakfast was very rich, and - because we like to sleep:-), perfect is, that breakfasts are untill 11.00 ! Even if you come late to breakfast - nothing was missing. I would like to thank to staff, also, that we could leave hotel little later, after 11 am. So shortly - to say - 1 ) Nice and clean and big hotel 2) breakfast until 11. am and 3) CHECK OUT AT 11.am. Many hotels has breakfast and check out only to 10am. So that was the biggest advantage for us. Hotel has thermal water in pool, so You dont need to spend money at public Therme. What I would like to reccommend? Bad Gastein is also known as place with thermal radon water. Radon is good for many problems, also for skin problem / i had little allergy by wearing the mask a long time/. So I wanted to use also radon water. But water in pool is deradonised. Maybe - could be also in hotel also radon baths. And infopoint about the places, where You can use radon therapy in Bad Gastein. It was missing. I saw, that some guests living in hotel were visiting the Radon Stolen. So - because Bad Gastein is not only place for tourism but also for heathy procedures, I was missing full info, where I can get the radon Therapy ( baths, springs, fountains with radon ). Tips , where to use radon therapy. It could be be solution to know all about the city like " all inclusive informations" about sking, turism, but also therapy.

We are just back in Sweden having spent out fourth visit in one year in Cesta Grand, and we can just state that this is the BEST hotel we ever stayed in, and trust me, travelling is our life! Some reasons why we keep on coming back to Cesta Grand: The ambiance in the Austrian alps situated in the calm and stunningly beautiful Bad bruck. The food in the hotel. The amazing Aperol Spritz made by the best bartender Natasja. The absolute cleanliness of the hotel managed by the cleaning ladies led by the one and only Danica who herself is very operative making the perfect clean atmosphere. This week we spotted her dusting the leafs of the flowers in the hallway as well as vacuuming the stairs. We also get the BEST rooms in the hotel arranged by Frau Irina Haas in the reception (thank you!!). Best of the best in this magnificent hotel is the pool area and the clay tennis courts. Both of these are managed by Joszef, a jolly good Hungarian fellow that worked in the hotel all 20 times we were there. Joszef not only keeps the pool area in the perfect condition, but also is the Tennis-Pro and our son who is a promising little tennis player has learned many things from Joszef in the lessions held in the two clay courts that are in remarkable condition. Retention of employees is not easy in the Austrian alps, so I do hope that Danica, Joszef, Frau Haas, Natasja and all the other stars in the hotel are remunerated in such a way that they will still be there next time we show up. My family visited the hotel for the last 35 years. Remember to run around as a kit. In my memories the hotel was great with great food. Recognize to hotel as not much changed, some of the rooms are renovated and the dining room. Not a fan of carpet in a hotel room. Major disappointment was dinner. The hotel promotes slow food. Always each evening firmed side dishes where served. Talked to the cook, he insisted that Austrian “Bratkartoffeln” can be fried. The evening before he served frozen convenience product also fried. The hotel director responded that 97% of the guest like the food. Take a look at the salad buffet!

We are so grateful for staying twice this summer in this absolutely amazing hotel! The hotel offers fantastic food, great scenery from room over nearby mountain and valley, very clean rooms, great tennis courts and a really, really good crew on site! Thank you Frau Auer and Ekaterina for the best room in the hotel (318). We are just so pleased! Thank you to the French bartender Marc for the best Aperol Spritz in Austria. One can tell that you worked in Italy! Thank you Camila and Claudio in the restaurant for the most professional and guest-friendly approach in all the hotels in which we stayed the last 20 years. Camila arranged for us to change table the first day to have the greatest view and the very best seating. Claudio took the time to teach our son napkin designs despite the heavy workload. Everything was beautifully prepared by Claudio for our meals and the service was immaculate! A special thank you to Joszef who every day prepares the garden and the pool area in the very best of ways. Joszef is also a great tennis instructor and during our stay in June, he improved the game of our youngest son in an excellent way! The hotel is a home away from home. We have travelled all over the world, but we keep on coming back for everything this perfect hotel has to offer.

I would like to thank for a great stay in this hotel. I appreciate numerous things - cleanliness, spacious and well designed rooms, peace and quite, exquisite cuisine and very friendly to dogs. They are even allowed in the restaurant. Services are not four star and the hotel is not suitable for demanding luxury and style loving hotels as it is obsolete in some parts. Majority of the staff does not speak English. But if you are ready for all this, you will enjoy your stay to the full. The only problem is that they do not label food with contained allergenes and you do not know if you can eat it or not. The staff does not know either.
