This is a charming motel close to Breaks Interstate Park. The owner is very friendly and knows the area well. We stayed only one night, but if we had the time we would have stayed longer just for the super comfortable mattress and amazing pillows. The grounds are beautiful with views of mountains, the sounds of a nearby stream, picnic tables and a fire pit are a lovely way to finish the day.

I had an excellent experience at this property. You can't beat the location, right next to Breaks Interstate Park! The property outdoor area is beautiful. And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Very enjoyable stay. The finest Motel I have ever stayed in. Given 45 years of traveling to state & national parks. Staff was very friendly and accomodating.

This was our first stop on a 14 hour journey from Florida to Virginia to find our forever home. We had no idea where we were going, ended up two and a half hours through the Western Virginia mountains ... In the dark... I'm the rain! But then thru the mountain mist, shown the Beautiful bright lights of The Gateway Motel! I would have loved to stay longer. The owner was amazing, friendly and inviting. The rooms were perfect, cozy and warm. The property is gorgeous with the running rapid Creek next to it that you can hear to soothe you. They had fire pits and all sorts of outdoor relaxation.

Awesome little motel!!! The lady who checked us in the room was awesome! She helped us find a great little spot to eat in town and where everything was located at the motel! It was quiet and relaxing at the motel once we returned from town. Cell service with my carrier was horrible but that gave me a much needed break from it ringing.

Great stay. Owners were very hospitable. Free ice, water and coffee were a plus. Rooms were clean and everything you need. Very close to the Breaks Interstate Park

Low Key and Lovely This little hotel was perfect for my needs: clean, affordable, and felt very safe. The hosts were welcoming and kind. The mattresses are AMAZING — I’ve been looking for a new one for my house and I’m seriously considering buying one like the mattresses here!
