We have an extraordinary experience with our pets and contact with nature, the gorgeous view of the sea, and the bungalow equipped enough with terrace, kitchenette, fridge and palm shelter with hammock to enjoy the sunshine. The beds are very comfortable and has mosquito net.

Our expectations low, we came to Bahia de La Luna on a group trip our friends planned, only to be enamored by friendly, attentive service, fantastic food (important since the beach is remote) and charming comfortable accommodations. Palm roofing doesn’t always denote this level of service with fresh sheets every day on the bed and a clean room. Food pumping out of the kitchen is top notch fare. Wonderful drinks delivered to your chair. Stay a week or more. You won’t forget it.

This place is pure magic. It’s a bit of a goat trail to get there, but the taxis navigate it easily, and I’ve even done it with a rental. Just slow and careful. But once you’re there,you will never want to leave. Outstanding service. Excellent food. Charming rooms. Breathtaking beach view. Great swimming and some decent snorkeling. They’ve thought of everything. They have bug spray, sunscreen, snorkeling gear, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards all for guest use. It’s not a Cancun all-inclusive. So don’t expect it to be. The primitive aspects (tepid shower water and some bats just outside the room in the palapa roof) just add to the charm. I’m a HOT shower gal, but it’s a price I’m 100% willing to pay in trade for the magical beauty of this place. Often in the winter months, mama sea turtles come and lay their eggs in the beach at night. Lights disturb them. So bring a red headlamp do you can watch.

Arrived in paradise again, love this magic little private beach since more than a decade. After an amazing massage by Nikita, there is nothing better than a quick swim and to share some of their amazing Coconut-Shrimp! Today there was no Mango so they improvised a perfect dipping sauce on a pineapple base .. highly recommended but only available on request.

We stayed for 3 days here and wished we’d stayed longer. Everything was perfect. Our little cabana up on the hill had amazing views and was very comfy. The food was so delicious, especially the evening meals that change all the time . The restaurant is located right on the beach so you are never far from the sea and it is a great swimming beach. The drive to the hotel is fine, a little bumpy near the end but doable in any car and we only had a useless hire car! This place is paradise , you can do as much or as little as you like , can’t wait to go back again .

We just returned after a 3 day stay at Playa Boquilla. I wish we had stayed longer - the beach, the hotel, the staff, the chef…everything was amazing. We traveled as a family with three generations and everyone enjoyed the stay. Everyone was friendly and accommodating at every turn. The highlight of our stay was experiencing a baby sea turtle hatching during our beach dinner. While lounging on the beach we saw a whale pass by. That was a first us. I highly recommend this place. We will return.

The best of the best, when you like to be private, alone, and need some time to yourself. Be aware, there is a lot of nature, so yes, I had a spider in my bathroom. And yes, there were cats and dogs walking on the beach. I even had two bats near to my shower, they were on the other end of the 'window', so I did not feel scared. There are zero shops or other restaurants. I tell you this, because maybe you do not like this. But for me, it did not bother me, because it was private, natural, and so special. So, if you like something special, I recommend it. For me it was very special. The service was more then good. Eden, Irving, Elliut, and Benny were more then friendly. You can tell they love their work. So does the chef. Muchos amor. Also, the owners, they understand the bay, and respect it. Lovely people!

This is our fourth trip to Bahia de la Luna. Saturno 1 & 2. Our room was not clean upon arrival (I think we arrived earlier than they anticipated). Uncomfortable beds. Need more hanging beds on the beach. Staff and food was great. We will definitely return. It does seem like they don't pay attention to details like they used to. Both safes broken in our cabana.
