Ask for suite 303 for a spectacular view and experience. Every aspect of the hotel was pure excellence.

Perfect location, excellent staff, fantastic service. Will definitey recommend!!! the hotel is located right in the historical city centre, no traffic area . the rooms are perfect and you can enjoy a gret view over the valley. Try the Restaurant La terrazza; great food great view friendly service

I had a great stay. The location is perfect, right in the heart of town, making it easy to explore local shops and restaurants. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The breakfast was tasty with a good variety of options. Amazing view over teh valley. Overall, a lovely stay and I would definitely return!

When you have those combined three elements in hospitality industry, then it's enough for you to come back and stay again. The room we chose was also good in size and orientation, providing the best of our stay experience. Oh, if you drive, the hotel provides garage for the car (with extra cost).

San Marino is a fantastic city to visit, with many great experiences and walks, fantastic restaurants.

Already the serpentine drive to San Marino is spectacular.... then you leave the car to the valet person at the Grand Hotel San Marino (better than self drive into the very narrow parking garage), walk the 300 meters (or ask for a golf cart to bring you to the hotel in the traffic restricted zone) - then you enter the room, and overerlook your land :-) Spectacular view over the hills towards the North and the roofs of San Marino. The standard rooms are quite small, but functional. In our room the beds was way (!) too soft, ok for one night, but certainly not for more. Staff is very helpful and friendly, the location perfect also to explore all sights within minutes of walking distance. The hotel offers a very nice breakfast, and has a spectacular restaurant (The terrace).

We didn't have a reservation, but walked in and got what we were told was the last room. It was on the lowest level of the hotel, so no view (the window looked out on the building next door). The room was spacious and comfortable (although the AC did not cool it very much). It was very noisy throughout the night and early morning hours, as we could hear people walking outside, yelling, etc. All of the people who worked there were very nice and helpful. Best part is the location - high up, so that when you walk out you have amazing views and can walk everywhere with ease. Lots of shops and restaurants all around as well.

The hotel sits at the best spot in town, overlooking the whole valley. Spacious rooms, very clean. Very polite and efficient staff. Hopefully we'll come back, don't think we would stay anywhere else. Great restaurant and bar. Recommended.

I cannot deny that this hotel is in a great location but the decor and design tired and outdated. The staff massively let our stay down. When we returned from dinner we discovered that the radiator had leaked across the full length of the room and damaged/soaked many of our belongings. When we went to reception and explained we were told no one could come to see the room or the damage in case they were needed on the desk. It was late and quiet and we explained this was not good enough. A member of staff did come and we did not get an apology and had to ask to move rooms. We also got told that our clothes were not important as they were only from Zara! I travel at least once a month and this is the worst experience in a hotel ever. Choose any alternative.

Lovely hotel, with a rooftop restaurant. Bedroom had a beautiful view across the mountains. Bed was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was lovely. The hotel is spotlessly clean. All staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of the old town. If you arrive from Rimini, get the shuttle bus from outside the station. We would definitely recommend the hotel.

We stayed in SM for one night. We wish we could have stayed two to enjoy our Montefeltro suite a bit more. The hotel is in a great location. We took one of the taxis waiting outside the train station that took us right up to where the hotel is. There is a steep climb to get to the hotel entrance, but that's SM. It was disappointing to see that there were three young men at the reception desk and not one bothered to help us with the suitcases as we entered the hotel and went down three steps. They just stood there and watched us. That's something management may want to address at some point. The room was very clean and stocked with everything you would need. Great shower and comfortable bed. Amazing view from the terrace that we enjoyed very much. You have your own elevator to access the room that will open right in front of the door. It had another door by the stairs as well. We had dinner at the hotel that night and really enjoyed it. They reserved by the window. We asked the hotel to reserve a taxi for us early next morning for 8:00am. We received an email that it was going to arrive from 7:45am-8:00am. But the reception staff told us it was coming at 7:30am. We questioned them several times because that's not what we had requested nor agreed to. They were very short in their response and a bit dismissive. So we rushed through breakfast that opened at 7:00am. We were downstairs with our luggage at 7:25am. The young man at the desk took our suitcases down to the area where we had to stand and wait which was the open street where we had been dropped off the day before. So we stood outside in the very cold early morning until our taxi arrived at 7:45am. The very professional driver in the Mercedes confirmed that our pick up was at 7:45am. A bit of disappointment from the way this was handled and the lack of customer service. But they do have a great location and product to offer. We may never return to SM, but if we do, we will stay here again and handle the transportation arrangements all on our own.
