Hyatt House San Juan

We love the layout of this hotel. So comfortable! Nice workout room. Such a beautiful facility! 4 minutes from the cruiseport.

The hotel was good overall. Friendly and smooth check in. Housekeeping was fine, although they kept moving the AC to 65 so when came back to our room every day it was freezing. At least we were able to adjust the temperature on our own. It was great that they had breakfast included, but they don’t know how to keep the food hot, so the eggs, pancakes, French toast, etc were all lukewarm at best. Good that they also had yogurt, granola and fruit. Location was okay, but if we go again we would stay in either Dorado or Old San Juan. The shuttle service to from the hotel to those places was pretty reliable.

Upon arrival I noticed a friendly atmosphere. All employees were friendly. At check-in, the lady that took care of my requests, met my expectations. Checking-out I learned that the lady that did the check-in is Nivea “Millie” Rivera the hotel GM. I consider her an excellent GM. Most General Managers are home, enjoying the holiday’s.

The staff is very nice and accommodating. The room was very nice and was well maintained and organized. The bed was very soft and clean. Now for the bad stuff. One night I went to the bar and was excited about having dinner and attempted to order. The bartender advised me that he was the only one working and it would be hard for him to go and cook and bartend since they were short staffed. So I bought some super expensive chips and snacks in the lobby. In addition, one day I forgot to ask on my way out that I would like for my room to be cleaned. So I called the hotel and the phone rang for 38 minutes straight. After someone finally picked up, I asked them for the service they said they would put it on their list. They even confirmed my name and room number again. The gentleman stated it would be taken care of and not to worry. Later that evening when I arrived I found that they had somewhat been in the room by replacing the towels and taking the garbage but left the bed undone. I thought it was only a few more minutes since they were already there and they took the tip I had left. I guess I was mistaken. I contacted the front desk and they advised that they would make a note of it and the supervisor would contact me. The following morning there was no note of my issue and the supervisor was too busy to at least let me advise her if the circumstances. I believe that was unprofessional.

My daughter and I had an amazing stay at the Hyatt House. It was clean, the staff was pleasant, the food was okay, the area was awesome!!! Everything was within walking distance even the walk to the beaches. They have a shuttle that does drop offs whether you want to do the T-mobile Distro, which is a complete vibe or if you want to go to Condado Beach, etc. Book it!

Great location, nice big rooms, the kitchen is nice to have. A few details would have made it better: my room smelled of damp as soon as you walked in; the cable machine in the gym worked only on one side (I booked this hotel because it had a gym), breakfast can be hectic at peak times and the staff seemed to be a bit behind with the demand creating long lines or simply not having coffee and things running out quickly. It is annoying having to validate the packing ticket every time you wanted to leave the hotel, not sure why a card to use during your stay wasn’t an option (considering you’re paying $18 a day). Room service was inconsistent, they would forget replenishing coffee and other amenities. It’s a nice hotel in a great location, but due to its price, you would expect these things not to be an issue.

My third stay here for the year. Always meets expectations with clean rooms, friendly staff, parking for your rental, and breakfast.

Was excellent. Stayed two days before jumping on a Disney cruise. Perfect location. Good food in the area and clean and safe property

My stay was great, room was clean and house keeping came everyday. My only complaint was that the breakfast could’ve been better.
