Virgin Beach Resort

It's my 3rd time at the resort and as always Staff are good and Food is different from our last stay and was great too, we had Sunday Japanese Cuisine night. It was rainy during our stay but it was still pleasant and quiet. I just wish that they'll soon offer Loyalty Incentives for guests like me.

Totally unexpected! My family and I have been to quite a few resorts over the country, Boracay, Palawan, Siargao, Cebu, and Zambales, but it's our first time experiencing a very quiet and tranquil feel when staying at a resort. It was an Unexpected experience, a very peaceful experience. The place was not loud at all, you can hear birds chirping, waves crashing on the shore, insects roving around the trees, colorful birds. It's like staying back at an old provincial nature during the 90s. It's just so quiet and peaceful.

We had a great experience during our first visit to this resort, which is why I decided to bring my entire family this time. Unfortunately, our second visit was a complete disappointment. The dining experience was completely different from our first visit. The food quality had dropped significantly, and the place where we dined was not up to par. To make it worse, we were promised that snacks and lunch would be included in our package before check-in. However, when we asked the staff about lunch (already disappointed with what was served), the response left us baffled. We raised our concerns with the manager, hoping the issue would be resolved. Instead, it was an even worse experience. Rather than addressing the problem or offering a solution, Ian, the F&B, manager shifted the blame onto his staff in front of us. We were stunned to hear him more focused on assigning blame than solving the issue. This unprofessional behavior only added to our frustration and ruined the overall experience. It’s also frustrating that none of these changes were communicated on the resort’s website. My family and I feel misled and overcharged for an experience that fell far below our expectations. This inconsistency, lack of transparency, and poor management have left a bad impression. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this resort to others unless serious improvements are made.

We recently visited Virgin Beach Resort with a group of 32 people, including children, and unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. While we understand the rules about bringing food and drinks, we only brought a couple of snacks for the kids since they needed to eat before the scheduled lunch at 12 pm. There is no store inside the resort to buy anything, so we were left with no choice. Despite this, we were hit with an outrageous ₱5000 corkage fee for the few items we brought. To make matters worse, the lunch included in the ₱1250 per person entrance fee wasn’t served until later, so many of us didn’t even eat it. When we asked for a discount considering they saved on the meals, the resort refused, which was very disappointing. We even spent an additional ₱7000 on activities offered by the resort, on top of the already expensive entrance fee for 32 people. It felt like the resort was more focused on making a profit than ensuring their guests had a pleasant experience. We would not recommend Virgin Beach Resort, especially for large groups

It is with deep regret that I find myself compelled to articulate a critique regarding our recent visit to Virgin Beach Resort, marking a stark contrast to our previously enjoyable experiences over more than five instances of patronage. Our visit on March 30, 2024, diverged significantly from the high standards we had come to expect. Historically, the allure of Virgin Beach Resort was its serene ambiance, distinct from the congestion typical of alternative beach destinations. This was complemented by the adequacy of dining space, even during peak attendance. Regrettably, our last visit was marred by an apparent oversight in reservations, as we encountered a full dining area despite prior booking. The staff's response suggested a first-come, first-serve policy, raising questions about the efficacy of advanced bookings for a group of seven. Particularly concerning was the resort's capacity management. As senior citizens with mobility issues, my parents faced undue hardship accessing the buffet, reminiscent of queues seen in emergency food distribution rather than a reputed high-end resort. This overbooking also compromised the quality and availability of food, a stark deviation from the previously high culinary standards. The diminished portion sizes and substandard preparation were not reflective of the premium pricing. In past visits, the diversity and quality of the food offered were highlights of our stay. This experience, however, left us feeling as though we were at a considerably lesser establishment, far removed from the "Virgin Beach Experience" we had cherished. The impression given was that the resort prioritized maximizing occupancy over maintaining quality and comfort during peak season. This short-term approach to capacity and dining management not only detracts from the exclusivity and appeal of the resort but also risks diminishing its reputation. It is with a very heavy heart that I convey these observations, hopeful that they will prompt Virgin Beach Resort to revisit and realign its operational and customer service strategies to uphold the high standards it professes. The essence of the "Virgin Beach" experience seems compromised, warranting introspection on the resort's part to ensure the name it bears continues to epitomize purity, cleanliness, and the unspoiled beauty it once guaranteed.
