Hotel del Paseo

Good points: 1. Location : 5 minutes walk to TICA by s station. 10 minutes walk to the bus station to airport. 10 minutes walk to the central avenue. Good for travellers who only stay for San Jose for 2 days and treat it as a transfer station. 2. Staff : friendly and helpful. 3. Room : ensuite with bathroom. Spacious and modern. Very clean in everywhere. Light, shelf, electronic sockets, hangers for every bed/travellers. 4. Hot water in shower thought u can't change the temperature. 5. Secure: the front door is always closed. Pin code is needed for everyone. They offer you keys and padlock for the lockers. 6. Towel and soap are provided. Bad points : 1. More like a hotel, not a hostel. There are no common areas for people to know each other. 2. No kitchen. Only get a cafeteria which offers tea, coffee, hot water, microwave and fridge. They do offer breakfast (4 US dollar) and lunch (6 US dollar). 3. There is only one fan in the dorm room. I am the only one in the dorm room so it isn't a problem for me but if there are more people, this would be a problem. 4. The window of the dorm room is facing the corridor, not the outside. So no fresh air and natural light in the room.

DO NOT COME HERE. Instead of helping out because I made an honest mistake on hostelworld they took the first opportunity to scam me and steal €40 from me. Upon me asking my money back owner came down and while passing my shoved me against the wall. Had to leave because they were aggressive. These are criminals. Don't come here.
