Blancaneaux Lodge

This hotel is amazing. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and will be calling you by name. The grounds are gorgeous, lots of birds, and lizards to see as well. The river or pool is a great way to cool off. No matter what place you choose to eat at you won’t be disappointed. I definitely would recommend staying here.

We just returned from a 4 night stay at Blancaneaux and it was perfection! We loved our family cabana, which was the perfect size for my family of 4 (ages 12 and 10). The property is gorgeous and the staff are so exceptionally friendly. The food was amazing and the lemongrass mojito was delightful. We were there over Easter and I cannot express how happy the manager made my kids. They loved the Easter Egg Baskets, the Easter Egg Hunt and the Easter Dinner Celebration. She really made the trip extra special. The attention to detail was above and beyond. We absolutely loved our stay at Blancaneaux and hope to return some day!

We stayed 3 nights at Blancaneaux Lodge and it was excellent. The property is amazing and the bungalows are very nice. The food is good and the service is generally excellent (except in the bar where we experienced a rude barman). On the negative side they charge for everything and you cannot even get a decent coffee or soft egg at breakfast without paying extra.

Bernie Matute and his team at Blancaneaux are absolutely fabulous! Their hospitality and attention to detail impressed us from the moment we arrived. This is the kind of lodge we love: cozy, personal and exquisite. The focus is on a personal experience where you are guest, not just a number as in many larger hotels and lodges. Take the time to hike down to Big Rock falls and visit the many Maya ruins in the area. Highly recommended!

WOW! What a special place! Our family of 4 with 2 teen girls ages 13 and 15. This lodge was the perfect family trip! So much to do at all times. We did the ATM tour which I highly recommend! It was incredible! We also did a horseback ride to the Big Falls. This was so special and my girls loved jumping off the rocks into the water. We had the 2 bedroom villa it was stunning! The food was incredible!!! Usually on vacation the food at lodge/hotels is average... NOT here wow the food every meal every bit was incredible! I highly recommend to stay here!

Exceptional experience from the moment I arrived. Every aspect of my stay was beyond expectations - from my reception at arrival to my beautiful, clean cabana to the attentive waitstaff and delicious food to the housekeeping who provided delights every day and a big shout out to the amazing guides (Jeronimo, Philip and Alex) who were a wealth of knowledge! I cannot recommend the lodge enough!

We went here for our honeymoon and could not have had a more perfect experience! We spent most of our time on property and had the truly incredible service. The staff was exceptional, attentive to every detail. On our last night, we were surprised by a romantic dinner at a special table set just for us and a special menu created just for us. It was beyond expectation and we cannot wait to return. Many thanks to the Blancaneaux staff for making our honeymoon so special!

Absolutely incredible place. My fiance and I had the time of our lives; the staff was BEYOND accomdating, wonderful, caring people. I felt so safe and taken care of from check in to check out. The beauty you will see in this place is otherworldly. While it is pricy, it is worth every cent. What an unbelievable combination of relaxation and great adventure we experienced between the peaceful setting of the lodge and the many, many activities there are to do around the property and in the area. If you are able to come here, you honestly must do it.

We spent 5 days at Blancaneaux and loved it. very peaceful setting on a river in the pine forest, units are beautiful wooden cottages and the food is great. A variety of tours to Mayan ruins, jungle sites and surrounding towns. Their 2 Thai masseuses are amazing. If you want to splurge a bit get one of the units with an attendant. I wasn’t so sure about that at first, but got spoiled quickly. Osmani did everything for us from setting up tours to delivering morning coffee to delivering first aid supplies. Just amazing service.
