It was an interesting stay at Canopy by Hilton, San Francisco Soma. We booked in March 2024 and paid in full for stay in May 2024. Upon arrival at 11pm after 17 hours of flying, we were told there was no room available at the facility that night to accommodate us as they were overbooked and our room was given away. We were told that they have rebooked us for the night at another hotel down the street. Tired and confused, we had to call an Uber to take us there, it was midnight by then. Upon arrival that hotel had no idea we were coming and had to call Hilton to find out what was happening (mind you, they told us that they had arranged everything). This hotel was also an inferior hotel to what we had paid for. We finally checked back the following day and was able to secure a room. I was unhappy with the way we were treated and up to that point we were being given the run around when we requested a refund for the night we paid for and was relocated without prior notice and for the uber. I wrote an email to the hotel (email address was provided by the front desk staff) on May 17 and to this day, our email has not been acknowledged or answered by the hotel.
Thankfully I booked through ******* and they have sorted out my refund. I still have not been reimbursed for transportation for the night we were re-located.
I think their customer service is poor, they do not care about their guests and I would never stay there if I choose to visit San Francisco again.
