Lone Star Inn - San Benito

I was charged for each of my 2 kids even though it didn't change anything about the room, we got a room with 2 queen beds which sleeps 4 (me, my husband and my 2 kids) i had already paid online and when i got there they charged me $20-$10 ea for the kids. The room sleeps 4 yet there was only 2 towels, no wash cloths and no toilet paper. i also booked a 2nd room for my sister, who was going to watch my kids while i ran some necessary errands the next morning and they put her in a room on the other side of the building, i asked if they were near eachother and they lady said unfortunately no but they're both on the same floor, no effort in putting us close to eachother since they were booked together by me from my acct ... the pool was dirty, i literally cleaned it MYSELF with MY OWN net because my son really wanted to get in and we were told my sister's guest could not get in the pool unless the were registered with her room which meant we had to pay for them as an extra person, when he wasn't gonna stay the night, he was just visiting her... then we asked for a late check out, just an extra 30 min cuz we just wanted to eat before we left and i had just got back from running the errands i needed to and it was 25min til checkout, well they denied the request! And said we'd be charged another night if we didn't check out on time, every hotel I've EVER been to does a courtesy late check out when requested annnddd they give us an hour yet here they couldn't even give us 30 min SMH

We didn’t even go in. Terrible service just stay away. The worst hotel in the world and the rudest staff. Sketchy area and sketchy people who run the business. From the moment we checked in , the manager up front was stalking us and wanting to fight us. I have to say I don’t understand how he’s still in business

I did like the location but did not like there was no couch in room and the water pressure was terrible. The shower water pressure was poor and the sinks water pressure was poor as well.

Not a walkable area since there are no sidewalks even to walk the 1/2 block to buy coffee. Staff was very nice to let me stay until 1PM on departure date.

I will get straight to the point on this review the staff was very accommodating in providing us another room when we reported a plumbing issue water shooting out of the back side of the shower head and wall damage that was present, as well as tile damage on the floor which was a safety hazard for cutting feet but promptly put us to another room. The property pool had no skimmer to use had mounds of debris at the bottom and floating on top of the water so we could not swim. At night crickets are either in the soffits or ******* and they're very loud so all you hear is crickets chirping in your room. Other than that was a room and a place to sleep or try to sleep

The supoosed free wifi internet service is horrible & should definitely be looked at. I tried to watch Netflix multiple times & it would buffer constantly.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the lady at the counter which I think may be the owner was VERY pleasant and amicable. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The pool was small but very pretty and clean. Next time I do business in this area I’m most certainly staying here again. Thank you to the staff Martin R. Property was OK, the room however was terrible, bed was awful, bath towels were worn out sink barly work, no mat in bath tub

There is NO breakfast served. There is no coffee maker in room. Had a fridge and microwave in room but no place to get food to cook. There was a gas station 2 blocks down busy road with no sidewalk. Floors were solid. No carpet! Loved that aspect. Room had a ceiling fan. That was nice too. Bed -0 rating as I felt like it was a camping bed not a hotel bed. The mattress pad held body heat and sheets stuck to you. Shower served purpose. King room could use another chair or a table and chair.
