Had Sunday lunch today and couldn't fault the food at all, two of us had prawn cocktails one had the soup and I had chicken liver parfait with balsamic chutney and toasted brioche and all was delicious, main courses were two chicken roasts and two beef roasts 4 or 5 different vegetables which was almost too much to eat, one of the best Sunday roasts we have had.

We have stayed in a number of waterfront hotels on rivers, lakes and sea around the UK (including other Hotels in the Harbour Hotel group) and in our opinion this Hotel has the best view we have ever seen. With the open sea to the right and straight across the village of Polruan giving the feeling of Italy. We have stayed a few times here and have never had a bad sea view room. The staff are all very helpful and friendly from Andrew the Manager though to reception, restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff. The food is always excellent at Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. I highly recommend this Hotel to stay or just come and eat.

Great room with sea views Booked a last minute getaway for my wife and I. Easy to find, very attentive and professional welcome when I checked in, polite articulate and ensur3d we knew what we needed ro know about the hotel and the local area. We didn't eat there as had plans in Fowey, but breakfast was a good selection of continental treats and set us up for the day. Room was amazing, balcony, views of estuary and the sea, peaceful, well appointed and had everything you could need. Delightful bath as well, with sea views from it. Overall a great night away, very professional, clean and tidy and a big comfy bed.

Lovely surprise stay booked by hubby! Beautiful room with bath and an amazing view of the River Fowey and beyond. We ate in town rather than the restaurant, as a personal preference. Lovely continental breakfast included with plenty of choice.

Staying in a beautiful apartment aside the hotel so thought we would check out the restaurant for dinner. Staff were rather unwelcoming considering that there is a sign on the entrance saying non residents welcome. However the waiter who first saw to us in the restaurant was lovely and served our cocktails on the terrace for us. The second waiter was so superior and condescending I was shocked at her attitude. She even brought us the bill over before we had finished and said loudly ," here's your bill you'd be amazed at the number of people who walk out and forget to pay.!" We were going to stay for more drinks and dessert but didn't. Shame about her manner as the food was amazing and the barman was great. She spolit our evening. Needs additional training.

Stayed for one night on trip down to Cornwall. We booked a superior room with a balcony and view over the river. The room was beautiful with lovely decor and welcome gin and tonic! Balcony need a bit of TLC though. Breakfast area was lovely, with good choice of continental and cooked. Would stay again

Just an ok experience. Very poorly organised breakfast set up. Not enough bowls for all the guests. Plates aren’t where they should be. Staff are too busy talking to each other to cater to coffee orders or breakfast orders form the menu. Nice room, nice cocktails at the bar. The bar tender is friendly and passionate about his work which helps. Would recommend but it’s not amazing service.

My husband and I visited for one night for our wedding anniversary and we had a lovely stay. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and our sea view room had the most stunning views. All of the staff we encountered from check in, to the bar to breakfast service were wonderful. The hotel benefits from beautiful well kept grounds, parking can be reserved in advance for an extra charge which we took advantage of, and it’s only a short walk into Fowey and to the beach. The continental breakfast was plentiful and cooked options were available off the menu for a surcharge but we stuck with the continental as planned on fish and chips for lunch!
