If you want to self cater you will enjoy this place. Polite helpful girls, lovely countryside, a resident wild boar (no, I'm not kidding) but don't let people book to stay then tell them that they need to go somewhere else to eat when there is nowhere else around to go to.

We liked the overall look and feel of the hotel complex - a collection of buildings in a rustic setting overlooking the sea. There's a very pleasant walk along the sea front to St Valery sur Somme - it took us about 25 minutes or so and I'd definitely recommend it as an alternative to driving into town. There's a swimming pool and tennis courts available to guests. Great welcome from reception staff and easy check in. Our room was on the first floor of one of the buildings and it turned out to be split level with the bed on a mezzanine level in the eaves. On entering the room there is nice bathroom (with great shower) but the room itself was small with a single bed taking up space where perhaps a small sofa could have been placed. Narrow, steep stairs take you up to the next level - a tiny space with no room for anything else other than the small double bed. Other than a feature wall in green wallpaper, the whole room was painted in a very dull beige which didn't help the overall ambiance. Unfortunately, we found it to be quite cramped, possibly because of the sloping walls which perhaps made it seem smaller than it was and I don't think it really came up to expectations. On the plus side, there's a great bar at this hotel and the staff were so friendly and chatty and the restaurant looked very inviting. There's a separate breakfast room and we decided to try out the breakfast on one of the mornings. Having been directed to an empty table, we were expecting someone to lay the table with cutlery/serviettes etc but that didn't happen. We were left to our own devices and, in the end, we had to ask where to find the cutlery - we never did find the serviettes! The buffet offerings were fine, the usual choices of cereals, cheeses, meats and pastries that you'd expect in a hotel. I think we would consider staying at this hotel again because we liked its location and setting. It was also very quiet at night which is definitely a bonus. However, we would definitely ask for a different style of room - something in one of the other buildings on the site.

Lage ist wunderbar. Zimmer sauber und gut ausgestattet. Service freundlich und hilfsbereit Das Frühstück war super reichhaltig aber qualitativ für mich eher naja. Ein Kaffeeautomat mit Pulvercappuccino finde ich geht gar nicht. Bei Kritik über das Personal sollte man bitte berücksichtigen , dass überall nur noch angelernte Mitarbeitende zu finden sind
