Le Clos des Romarins

Visited for two nights with friends staying in ‘superior’ rooms. Met by proprietor who didn’t seem to speak English and as I didn’t speak French there was no conversation. Described as a superior room we were very disappointed. It was small with a king size bed, open plan shower/sink and separate toilet. A few coat hangers but no wardrobe. We found the king size bed very comfortable. The air conditioner worked and was effective. There were 2 dressing gowns but we did not use them. The patio door had a faulty lock and although the proprietor seemed to work it I wasn’t able to and left it unlocked the entire stay. TV had no English speaking channels. Although the room is described as having toiletries there was only a soap dispenser by the sink and a shower gel dispenser in the shower. There was an outside patio area with a table and chairs which was fairly private. Breakfast consisted of different breads and jams, croissants, plain yogurt, fruit juice and limited amount of fruit plus tea or coffee. As there were four adults in our party there was never enough plain croissants available. Not very inspiring. In fact on the first morning the proprietor started clearing the breakfast table before we had finished which we didn’t think appropriate. I would describe the room as standard rather than superior. Outside however was superior in many ways. A lovely swimming pool surrounded by different seating areas creating a relaxing environment. Sadly our weather during our stay prevented us from using these facilities.

Excellent accueil, hébergement très calme et très agréable. Cadre exceptionnel. Petit déjeuner copieux. Je recommande vivement.

Lieu très agréable et reposant sans compter l’accueil du propriétaire communicatif et souriant , aussi la proximité des plages et lieux de vie touristiques feront un séjour parfait.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour au Clos des Romarins. Son jardin au calme, joliment décoré et arboré, sa grande et belle piscine, ses transats et fauteuils confortables, et son super jacuzzi spa, installé dans une cabane autour d'un arbre, font de cette chambre d'hôtes l'endroit rêvé pour passer les meilleures vacances possibles, à quelques minutes du très agréable front de mer de Saint-Palais. Sans oublier l'excellent et copieux petit déjeuner, mais aussi bien sûr l'accueil chaleureux et très amical de Richard (sosie d'Alec Baldwin ;) et de sa famille. Et si, comme nous, vous aimez les animaux, alors vous serez servis : chiens, chats, perroquet, c'est sept mignons d'amis.. Nous avons tellement tout aimé, que nous avons déjà prévu d'y retourner l'été prochain. Et peut-être même avant, si nous pouvons. Accueil très sympathique par le propriétaire et ses chiens. La chambre n est pas très grande mais confortable et bien aménagée. La terrasse privée et équipée est agréable et un réel plus. La literie est de grand confort. La météo estivale nous a permis de profiter de la piscine chauffée et des transats dans un superbe jardin arboré. Le petit dejeuner est copieux avec de bons produits. Une adresse à recommander.
